I stare at her, dumbfounded.
Most kitten dragons first speak after a few weeks of living. My little sister spoke after living for only a few minutes. Not only that, but she also said something about a fire. How would she know anything about a mysterious fire? Did she smell it? How did she know my name?

- Brittney -
My dad, along with a few other cat dragons try to put out the fire I created. Dad, being an erif cat dragon, can create and destroy fire.
He squints. A small section of the flames vanishes. He was never the best at using magic. The max he can do is get rid of only a tiny section at a time. At the most it only helps a little bit - for every part he gets rid of two more orange flowers of the same size catch another tree on fire.
"Is there any way I can help?" Asks a familiar voice. I turn towards the sound. It is Ocean. He is flying sloppily towards us. His wings flap of their own accord, almost like a cat's tail.
"What can you do?" Asks Mom, referring to what kind of magic he has.
"I can create a cloud... and make it rain."
"Great, we could use all the help we can get."
A dark stormy cloud appears over us. It is small; not as big as other clouds I've seen. Rain comes tumbling down in heavy sheets. The rain avoids him as if he is wearing an invisible thick coat.
The fire hisses. Smoke rises up to the sky, only to be diminished by water droplets. The cloud may be small, but it is enough. The flames burn out.
"Um... thanks," says Mom.
"You're welcome," Ocean answers as he flies away, leaving his cloud behind.
