Nine years ago, at the age of seven, my life changed. Nine years ago I found my true friends, found out the truth about my family and me. Nine years ago I was able to read people's minds. Until this very day at the age of sixteen.

"Kai? Are you paying attention?" I look up at my Science teacher.
"Sorry Miss C. You were talking about the protons, neutrons and electrons of an element."

Miss C nods and carries on talking about the lesson. She wrote homework on the board, "Right. Now this is due next week Tuesday. If it's late, ten percent will be deducted every day. Understood?"
Heads nodded in agreement.
"Good. We are finished for today so you can start doing the work I gave you."

I looked at Miss C. Why did I take teaching as a job. She thought then looked outside and down at the football field. Mr Avery is looking handsom today. Oh I wish I could get to spend time with him.
I smiled and looked down at the field and saw Mr Avery look up to our class. I should go speak to Miss C. Maybe I could go out with her and...
I flinched. Why do men have such weird thoughts.

The bell rang and I stood up from my desk and walked to Miss C. She looked up from her table. "Miss Olsen? What can I do for you."
I smiled,"Well I just wanted to tell you that you should go talk to Mr Avery, since you have a liking to him."
"How did–"
"Don't worry about how I know." I smile at her.
Kai if you tell anyone I will murder you.
"Don't worry Miss C, I won't tell anyone."
She flinched.
"Are you okay Miss C?"
She frowned at me then nodded. I smiled "Well I better get going to lunch. I will see you tomorrow."

As I walked into the cafeteria to fetch lunch there was so much noise I thought my head would explode! I walked past one of the tables.
I hear the whispers from the jocks and drama queens. "Who does she think she is? Walking around in her uniform with a hoodie under her blazer." I roll my eyes. What are those girls thinking?! You are the ones wearing short skirts that are way above four fingers above the knee. I am still following school rules. I am wearing a plain maroon hoodie that goes with the blue, white and maroon uniform. The code of conduct states in rule 39; All warm clothing ei: hoodies, sweaters, sweat pants, scarves and beanies, may be worn with school uniform. No big writing or patterns my be worn. Any shoes are aloud.

And then rule 40 states; during summer no beanies or scarves are to be worn. Girls uniforms include the white button top with school badge, navy blue skirts( no more higher the four fingers above the knee), and sweat pants are aloud when cold, and blah blah onto the boys.

I walked to the table outside the cafeteria to my two friends, Rico and Sam.
Sam and Rico have been with me for the last eleven years. They are like brothers to me.

Sam Henson, soccer star and the girls fall for him just as easily as falling for the jocks. He is good looking and has good grades. But one thing no one knows about him is that he is gay. He doesn't know that I know. He a normal guy but just likes the same gender.

Rico Franklin, academic star and hockey player. Equal in looks to Sam, but he is not gay.

"Hey Kai! What's up?" Sam greeted, giving a quick glance at a guy at the opposite table.
I sigh, "Not much really. The girls by the jocks are making me sick with their acts and clothing. Miss C has an interest in Mr Avery so I told her to go talk to him, but don't tell them I told you. Got Science homework and girls are looking at you."

Sam's smile dropped and looked at the girls behind them then looks back. I punch him on the arm.
"Ow! What was that for? "
I mentally smack my face."You shouldn't turn around and look at them, you will just encourage them. They—". I stopped and heard the thoughts of some of the girls. I gagged.
"Olsen?" Rico looked at me, "You okay?"
I nod "Guys please don't call me Olsen."
Rico turned to me, "Why?"                                                                                                                  "Because..." I trailed off.

They both looked at me weirdly. Knowing I wasn't ready to tell them, they carried on eating their food.

I glanced briefly around me, then saw two of the girls who were looking at Sam earlier walk towards us.
"Hey Sam and Rico." One of the girls said. I cleared my throat and got a glare from them."Hey how can I help you this fine day?" I mocked

They are not my type at ALL! I heard Sam think.

They have WAY to much makeup on. And how can they wear those clothes?! It looks so uncomfortable. Rico noted to himself.

I snorted and laughed.
The four of them looked at me, Sam and Rico confused and the girls giving me more death glares. "Why are you here anyway? You have no chance with any of these boys you know that." The girl with the blonde highlighted hair said.
I laugh again, "Well to tell you the truth I will have more of a chance with Rico than any of you and you are sooo not Sam's type. I have to eat so you are excused. "
Their mouths were hanging open. I raise my eyebrow "Seems like you want to catch flies. I am not sure if I would eat them though, no idea where they have been."
The blonde girl scoffed, "No wonder no guy likes you. You are just a dirty mouthed..."
I interrupted her by raising my finger, "Watch the language. If you even dare to challenge me, you will regret it deeply."
The girls laughed at me and I saw Sam clench his jaw. I nudged his foot with mine under the table. He looked at me, "It's okay. They don't know what I am capable of."
I mouthed. He stares at me then nods.

I carry on eating with Rico and Sam, still aware that the two girls were standing there for the last five minutes. I turn to them, "Is there a reason why you are invading our privacy? Nothing else to look at other than me?"
I smirk at my last comment.
Blonde hair's face turned as red as her friends bright red lipstick then click clacked away in her heals.

They are so cliché.
