"Not so fast Calico Kline."

I stopped dead in my tracks and looked at the faces of the three Olsens. Dennis, Crystal and Henry, my so called brother.
"You will be coming with us Missy." Henry said.
I frowned,trying to play innocent, "Wait who is Calico Kline?"

Dennis pulled out some weird thing that looked sort of like a gun. "Oh you know exactly who she is Kai. Now you will come with us or we will kill your friends here."
I watched as Michael stood in front of me. "You will do nothing of a sort. She will not be going anywhere."
Crystal raised an eyebrow, "And who might you be?"
"That's none of your business. Now you will leave her alone or suffer the consequences."
"Michael..." I whispered
"Don't worry Kai, I will protect you. No matter what."
I suck in a breath. I have known this guy for 45 minutes and he is risking his life for me?
I turn and look at Rico and Sam. They looking at Michael then me, then back to Michael. Who is this dude and what on earth is going on!
" Sam I will tell you about him just now, and Rico..."
He looks at me when I say his name, "Short story what I told Sam. I can read minds, I hear voices and they are not my real family."
Sam stared at me, "They are not your real family! Now that makes sense why they want to kill us."
I nod. Sam hugs me then joins in behind Michael, Rico following in suite.

Henry shrugs, "Fine then. It's your deathbed."
Henry aims the gun thing, that looks like those water guns but way scarier. Before Henry pulled the trigger I just saw a blast of flame looking power go towards him and the two adults. They fell down all roasted and coughing non-stop, trying to catch a fresh breath of oxygen.
Run! More are coming!
"Michael...!"
"I heard. Come on I know where we can go." He pushed past Sam and Rico and grabbed my hand. We ran away from the scene as fast as we could and into an abandoned building.
Of course he would bring us to something like this! Why are we even with this guy?! Rico thought.
"Because Rico, him and I were told to stay together. This building is better than out in the open." I said to him after entering a room, locking the door and watched as his jaw dropped.
"What...did...Sam?!...".
I rolled my eyes, "Okay short and sweat for the three of you. I could read minds since I was seven, and that is what got us in this mess. Now we wait."
"Wait for who?" Sam and Rico ask.
Michael pointed out the window,"For them."

~~~
"Miss Kline."
I wave at the middle aged man in front of us. We were standing on the roof of the six storied building.
" And you are?..." I ask.
"General Alexander of the Star knights. And you must be Michael D. Heart?" General Alexander said to Michael. He nodded to the general after he move nexted to me.
The General turned to the two boys behind me, "And who are these two?"
I looked back at them, "They are my best friends, Sam and Rico."
General looked back to me, "May I ask why you brought them here?"
"Well sir, I thought it would be safe for them to come with us because they know about my ability."
The General nodded, turned around and walked up the ramp into the invisible ship.
"Follow me."
We scurried up into the ship and took our seats.
General Alexander and the pilot went into the control room an took their seats.
"Please put on your, ummm, seat belts I think you call them, and your helmets. We are going to lift off. I took a seat and Michael sat nexted to me.
"Mind if I sit here?"
I gestured him to take the seat. I put on the seat beat and a helmet that had appeared on my lap.
"Oh and it's my favorite colour!" I squealed
Michael turned and looked at me. "You like baby blue?"
I nod and look at him through my helmet lense.
"Black?" I asked and pointed to his helmet. He smiled and nodded. Black and red make me look sexy.
I laugh,"What ever you say ladybug."
His eyebrows rose. He then gave me a smirk. You to would look good in black. Black and blue.
I roll my eyes.
*3... 2...1...0... Let's fly! *
I heard in my helmet.
Cool helmet. Can I keep it.
Yes it's yours and we will meet when you arrive.
That voice is getting on my nerves.
~~~

"So Michael, do you mind if I ask you some questions?" I ask.
"Sure go ahead."
"How did you end up on the streets?" I looked at him and watch him clench his jaw.
Well, like you I got my powers at the age of 7. I was in foster care and things would get out of hand. I couldn't control the energy I contain. People started to see me as a freak and would run away from me. But not to long ago I was still with a family and they were nice, but the voice I heard in my mind told me I need to leave. I had left about a week ago. I tried to find places to hide and still survive while I waited for these people to fetch me. I would go to restaurants I often visited to ask for food. Only some of them could help me. What day is it today?
"Thursday."
Wait what?! Then I have been out on the streets for two weeks.
"Michael, how did you stay hygienic, may I ask."
"I would go to the gym about every second day."
I nodded in understanding, "That was clever." He smiled at me.
The speakers crackled, "Young heros, we are exiting the earth's atmosphere.
" Nonono! I didn't tell my mom I was going anywhere. " Sam panicked and took out his phone.
General Alexander came through and took Sam's phone," Sam, this device won't work here. We will contact your mother when we arrive at the Star Empire."
"Mine too please!" Rico chirped in.
General Alexander nodded and headed back into the cockpit of the ship.
The speaker crackled back to life again, "We will be going to travel at photon speed. We will arrive at the empire in a couple minutes."
Must be quite far from earth.

~~~
Not much later after going photon speed we arrived at the Star Empire. We landed and were greeted by three men in the same uniform as General Alexander.
" Greeting. " a man in his late thirties said," I am Captain Beck of the Star Knights..."
I frowned and interrupted.
"Sorry but isn't my father the Captain?"
All of them looked at me.
"Miss Kline. We sorry to inform you that... ummm...your father has been missing for fourteen years."
