Hanji Zoë and Levi Ackerman we're both leaders with supernatural powers. Hanji led the North, while Levi lead the South. And obviously, the two hated each other. They'd been at war for nearly a decade, but the two couldn't decide a winner. That was until another war broke out that would soon wipe out all Supernatural beings.

"what the hell do you mean we have to link minds?! there's no way I'm doing that" Hanji yelled

"you two don't have a choice. you guys are our only hope" a voice said. Her name was Vivian, and she was one of the oldest and most powerful witches living; but she wasn't strong enough to take out Stella. Hanji and Levi were the strongest supernatural beings alive, and in order to stop Stella from wiping out the whole human race, they had to act quick.

"I'm not linking minds with her. We've been at war for 11 years. there's no way in hell I'm going to do that" Levi scoffed and began to walk away

"we don't have much time! the future depends on you two. after today, your hatred towards each other won't matter anymore because there's a bigger problem. you two will die if you don't do this" Vivian spoke in a serious tone that time.

The two hesitated, but had no choice other than to agree.

"fine" Hanji muttered and Levi just nodded

"how does this even work?"

"I'm going to cast the spell. It's forbidden, but I'm the only witch able to do this. Linking minds will allow you two to read each-others thoughts and see what the other person see's. the vision powers only last for a limited time, but you'll be able to pick up a scent that will lead you to each other. to make sure you have your privacy, you'll only be able to have access to this if the other person allows you to. for example, Levi, if you wanted to hear what Hanji has to say about something, she can either let you or not. it's a difficult feeling to describe, but you'll know when you feel it. the spell won't take long, but I'm going to have to cut open a part of your arm and put Wolfs Blood into the wound. I know it's very painful, but you're going to have to control yourselves and your powers. The rest I'll tell you along the way, but right now I have to get started or else we'll run out of time" Vivian said as she was pulling out all of her materials

The two nodded. They were clearly irritated by the situation, but they couldn't do anything about it.

"after I perform this, two orbs will form. in order to keep people form realizing you guys are linked, you'll have to transform it into some sort of jewelry to keep it hidden. Hanji, yours can be an amulet and Levi's can be a bracelet. you must keep this orb on you at all times. if you don't have it on, it will make your links weaker. your powers and health can also lead to a massive decline"

"what?! that doesn't make sense how does if effect our actual powers?!" Hanji exclaimed

"the orbs are very powerful and overtime they will also be linked to your powers. the less you wear the orbs, the weaker your powers become. the most important thing is to never let anyone touch the orbs. they are very weak and both of you will feel a very sharp pain in your hearts. if the orbs are ever destroyed, your links will be broken and your powers may be drained.

"isn't there a less painful and easier way to link minds? without all the rules and risk of losing our powers?"

"yes. linking minds also work for powerful soulmates or if you've marked each other. but, seeing as you two will never reach any of those, this is the only way that will work"

"wait so you're saying if the link is broken then we lose our powers? is there a way to bring them back?"

"of course, but it'll be very hard. you will have to have an oracle perform numerous spells, but even then you may only receive half of your powers back. I have to perform the ritual now, are you two absolutely sure you want to do this?"

They nodded once more, even though deep inside they were afraid of the consequences.

Vivian began the spell by taking a knife and slicing a thin line through both of their arms. She then put some sort of magic powder into the wound, which caused them both to wince in pain. Hanj's eyes turned red as a trigger to the pain, causing wind to pick up in the room and circle her

"Hanji I need you to calm down or else it won't work!" Vivian shouted as the wind grew stronger, almost knocking things down

Wolfs Blood was highly toxic to Supernaturals like her and Levi; and the pain that dragged along with it was torture. She took a few deep breaths until she was back to normal, and Vivian performed the rest of the ceremony. After it was over, two orbs formed that Vivian quickly fixed into a necklace and a bracelet, then handed it to Hanji and Levi.

"put it on, hurry!" She yelled as you can hear the crossfire coming from the outside.

It wasn't the North versus the South anymore; it was every single Supernatural being against Stella. Stella was the most powerful witch of all time, who was the reason why the monarchy fell. After Hanji was born, Stella attempted to start a revolution against the firstborns for breaking the laws of the monarchy. Even though she failed, this led to everyone falling into their own castes. There was the Witches, Werewolves, Vampires, and of course, the Supernaturals. There wasn't a problem between them, they had just fallen out of place.

"you two need to get out of here before Stella finds you! lay low for awhile and try to figure out what to do! hurry! leave now!" Vivian yelled as the crossfire grew louder

The two obeyed and got out of there to return to their home bases.

That was two weeks ago. Two weeks had already passed since the first attack from Stella came. There wasn't that much casualties, but Stella was only growing more angrier. On the other hand, Levi and Hanji hadn't made any contact since that day with Vivian. They didn't even try to test out their powers yet, since they didn't know where to start. Levi looked out his window and watched the rain flood down from the night sky. He didn't know why, but he felt this terrible feeling like something bad just happened.

"Captain" a voice called, causing Levi to turn around

"what is it?"

"there's a rumor that there has been an attack in the central city. we don't know yet if this had something to do with Stella, but word is that the attack happened nearly twenty minutes ago"

"Alright. Prep the soldiers, were leaving in five. if the attack happened a while ago, Stella could be on the move"

Levi left the room and wandered around the first floor as the soldiers were running around trying to find their gear. That terrible feeling was bothering him because he didn't know where it was coming from, until he heard a light knock on the door. The soldiers all froze and silently pulled out their weapons and aimed it towards the door. Levi pulled out his gun and slowly opened the door, only to reveal a wounded brunette ready to collapse at any second.

"tsk. what the hell happened to you!"

"Captain! Be careful, it could be a trick!" The soldier said and Levi realized that their guns were still aimed at Hanji.

"tsk. put them away and go prep a bed for her!" He ordered and watched as they all scrambled away. He averted his attention back to Hanji and seen she had deep wounds on her arms and face. Her whole body looked like it had been cut up and poisoned.

"didn't... know...where else to go" She muttered and collapsed into his arms.
