A few days later
5:45 P.M.

Hanji stood in her and Levi's room in irritation. She had to go back to sleeping in her regular room, which pissed her off.

"I can't believe this..." she muttered and started throwing her stuff into a bag

"You're being dramatic, let's just talk about it first" Levi groaned as he tried to stop Hanji

"There's nothing to talk about! When you said you had a girlfriend who was joining the team, I was perfectly fine with it. I assumed she was going to have a separate room and we'd keep the same sleeping arrangements; but, apparently if you're the granddaughter of Stella, you get to steal the commanders roommate." The brunette said angrily. It was hard to get Hanji mad, but when someone did she was not easy to calm down. The only person who could calm her down was Levi, but that meant nothing since this time she was mad at Levi.

"Of course we'd have to go back to original arrangements! It wouldn't be normal if I had my girlfriend sleeping in another room while I'm here with you on my chest every night. Why did you assume it'd be the same?" Levi scowled, which only made Hanji more irritated.

"Because, Levi!" She yelled, "Because for the past 15 years we have helped each other grow by doing this. Because for the past 15 years I've only stuck with you no matter how fucked up things got! When I had all my relationships, when I had to go through the human problem, when I couldn't sleep because of what Stella did to me... I always stuck with you because you were my person! And.. and now who am I going to have? No one knows me better than you, Levi. And you claim that this won't change anything, but it changes everything and you know that!" He fell silent and only glared at the ground. "It's whatever at this point."

"You don't get to run away. We can't run away from our problems, you know that"

"Oh really? What's stopping me?" She shot back

"That promise! That promise we made 15 years ago, the promise we've lived off of for the past 15 years."

"You broke that promise the second she walked in here! You know what Stella has done to me, and to invite her granddaughter into all this.. I.." Hanji stopped and looked at him in disbelief. "That promise is broken, Levi. It's gone." She grumbled and walked out, leaving the raven-haired man all alone.

Two Days Later
Saturday

The whole group had gotten used to Petra at that point. They didn't seem to mind her, and actually enjoyed her company. But, the only reason was because they didn't know who her grandmother was. Hanji had been more frustrated than ever for the past week, but no one except Levi knew why. Although, three girls suddenly caught onto what was wrong with Hanji.

"She totally doesn't like Petra!" Vivi exclaimed as her, Nila and Lia played on their phones.

"What? No way, that can't be true. Petra just got here, we don't even know her that well." Nila protested, but Lia sided with Vivi.

"But it does make sense! Miss Hanji wasn't mad until Petra showed up! She doesn't even want to appear in the same room as her." Lia replied looking up from her phone. The three girls contemplated and tried to put their thoughts together.

"This doesn't make any sense! Petra is really nice" Nila muttered and twiddled her fingers.

"Well, if Miss Hanji doesn't like her then I don't like her either!" Lia claimed and crossed her arms.

"Yea, me too!"

"Guys, come on! Don't you think you're being mean? We don't know about Petra at all! You're being way too quick to judge, and that may not even be the case with Boss." Nila tried to convince the two, but they wouldn't budge.

"No way. Boss has sacrificed so many things for us. There's no way I'm going to be nice to the girl she doesn't like."

Nila could only sigh at this. She thought it was unfair that her friends were judging Petra, so she wanted to go speak to Hanji about it. There's no way Hanji could hate on someone she just met... right?

"Of course I don't like her" Hanji muttered as she pulled out a bunch of old papers from her desk. She had been going back to her old research and has been examining them for a few days.

"What? B..but we don't know her that much Boss" Nila replied. She was shocked and confused as to what Hanji said.

"Nila, there are things that I know that I can't and won't share with others. I know lots of things about lots of people; even the ones you're close with or who you think are your friends. If I told you half the things I know about everyone, you would go crazy and wind up killing yourself. You may like a person, but you have to think deeper than just beauty." Hanji continued, "I may not like Petra, but she didn't do anything to you guys. My opinion on her shouldn't infringe on yours. Besides, she is Levi's girlfriend and as much I hate the two of them right now, I don't really have a choice"

"But if you don't like her then why do you still support their relationship?"

Hanji paused for a second then sat down.

"Pull up a chair, I'll tell you a quick story"

Nila nodded and said "what's it about?"

"Loyalty"
