Jisung sat on the steps of the school, enjoying the bright sunlight. The light seemed to reflect off the page of his textbook but he didn't mind much, he was still able to read it.

Thankfully he hadn't seen Minho since the day before and he didn't want to see him for the rest of the week, but that was unlikely since he was guaranteed to see him in detention. Which is why he wasn't sat with his friends at lunch. He was enjoying the silence of the school courtyard compared to the crowded cafeteria.

Chan had asked Jisung to explain why he had taken Minho to the movies, to which Jisung answered 'you told me to get him out the house'. He had explained how he had locked him out of the house and that Minho had actually ended up enjoying the movie and how he had thanked Jisung for cheering him up, even if it was just a little.

Chan was pretty impressed and grateful that Jisung was making an effort to build some sort of friendship. Jisung had asked if he would take the strike two away but of course Chan refused. They were getting closer and closer to this 'punishment' by the day and it hadn't even been two weeks yet.

The sound of footsteps causes Jisung to glance up, he squints to shield his eyes from the sunlight, trying to make out who was stood over him.

"Hey" Hyunjin smiles, taking a seat beside the younger.

"What do you want?" Jisung asks, closing the textbook and putting it to the side. He hadn't really been focusing on the words he was reading anyway.

"I came to apologise for yesterday" He says but he knew he wouldn't be so easily forgiven. "I shouldn't have gotten involved in whatever hatred you and Minho share. I love you both and I guess I just get frustrated at the fact you two can't get along"

Jisung only crosses his arms "did Chan force you to come and apologise?" He asks, not believing that Hyunjin would come on his own accord.

"No" he says simply "we got one friend back but we lost another. I love you!" He smiles, shoving finger hearts in Jisung's face until he sighs and nods.

"Fine, I forgive you" he gives in "save the finger hearts for Jeongin and Seungmin" he mutters with a smile, knowing how Hyunjin cared for the younger boys.

"You know you and Minho actually have a lot more in common than you think" he says, sitting back and keeping himself upright by his forearms. "This is where he came when he wasn't sat with us too"

Jisung didn't know why that counted as something they had in common. It was probably the quietest place in school, and it was also the first place that someone would look. It's obvious that an attention whore like Minho would come here. Jisung was an attention whore too but at least he admits it.

"Me and Minho have nothing in common, trust me on that" he laughs, picking his textbook back up in hopes that Hyunjin takes the hint to leave him alone, now being bored of his company.

"I think you do, I also think you'd make good friends if you could just put your past behind you" Hyunjin's focus was on the clear blue sky as he spoke, meaning he missed the intrigued glint in Jisung's eye.

"Our past?" He repeats "h-he told you?" If Minho had told Hyunjin then maybe he could finally find out why Minho had taken a disliking to him over the past three years.

"No, but something must have happened right?" He shrugs "people don't just hate each other for no reason"

Jisung hated Minho for no reason. Obviously Minho had a reason he always seems to keep quiet about.

"But I haven't done anything to him" Jisung sighs, resting his head against the metal railing, the textbook falling closed in his lap.

"Well he seems to think you have" Hyunjin rests a hand against Jisung's shoulder "I'm sure you two can sort things out. You just have to do something he wouldn't expect you to do"

Like take him to the movies? He'd done that one already.

"I do want to stop arguing with him, for you guys. I understand that it must be hard constantly having us fighting" he looks down, folding the corners of the pages in the textbook. "It's just difficult to do since I don't actually want to be friends with him".

"It is but I'll help you if you want" Hyunjin offers and instantly Jisung looks up.

"Really?"

"Yup, and I have a pretty good idea" he smiles. Usually Jisung wouldn't trust Hyunjin with things like this, but he seemed to be the only one willing to help and he was thankful for that.

"Thank you"
