Mia's Point of View
Could today get any worse?
This was the umpteenth time I was asking myself this question.
Maybe you should just take a chill pill and listen to what he has to say. Even if he might be a vampire, Or you're loosing your mind. How badly could this probably turn out?
The answer is very badly, but I decided not to tell myself that.
Well, we better get this over with....
You know this voice in my head has never been very helpful. Ever!!!
Walking as slowly as I possibly could, I made my way towards the staff quarters and to Mr Nicholas's office. I suppose he'd surely be using the old history teachers office.
It felt weird calling him a Mr. so strangely formal. He seemed too young for such formalities, but familiarity was the last thing I needed right now.
Adjusting my bag pack, I knocked once.
"Come in!" Said a cheery voice. A cheery feminine voice.
Pushing the door open a little less reluctantly than i was a few minutes ago, I slowly stepped in.
Sweet lord of chocolate dipped strawberries !!!
He looked deliciously gorgeous, with his glasses and his ever perfect hair.
Then, I noticed the woman.
My biology teacher. Miss Savannah.
"Good afternoon." I said softly.
"Good afternoon Mia, to what do I owe this visit?" She said with a slight smile.
"Um.... nich...Mr Nicholas called for me." I stuttered.
Her face shone with some kind of realization, she gave a nod and continued to write whatever it is she was writing.
"Please, give us some time to talk Gail." He said. Without even looking up to acknowledge my presence.
I looked around confused. Who's Gail? Then I realized.
I blinked. Did I hear correctly? Did he just ask a fellow teacher to excuse him? Us?
I braced myself for her reaction.
But she just smiled and said. "Sure! Absolutely!"
She got up as fast as humanly possible, almost running out of the office.
This time, I gulped.
"Mia," He started
Uh oh.... he's calling you by your freaking name. No miss. The familiarity level just went from 40 to hundred real quick!
"I believe, you don't exactly have a record of fighting in school. Or anywhere else for that matter." He stated. Pulling off his spectacles.
I stayed very still, clutching my bag like I'll need to make a run for it very very soon.
"Relax Mia, I'm not here to hurt you." He said, still maintaining his steely gaze.
