NURSE JOLENE POV

I went into the lobby and discovered that there was nobody that wanted to see me. Then I realized what Betty was trying to do, on the 8th floor. I ran into the elevator and went up. I ran into Jughead's room...and discovered he wasn't there.

"Oh no...Jughead!" I yelled. I went down to the lobby and called for the police to come to the hospital. 6 cops arrived and they started to question all of us.

"What are the names of the people?" Sheriff Keller asked.

"Jughead Jones, an 18-year old, Emphysema patient. Betty Cooper, an 18-year old, future Yale attendant. Betty was Jughead's caretaker...and they want to be with each other."

"We will send an emergency news report. We are going to contact the families of these people."

"Thank you." I nodded. I tried calling Jughead and Betty a few times, but they didn't answer. Soon, the Jones family came and the Coopers came as well.

"Where is my son?! I swear if your daughter did something-" Mrs. Jones yelled.

"My daughter?! More like your son did something to her! She was such a good girl until she met your son!" Mrs. Cooper yelled. I shushed them and tried to calm the families down. Sheriff Keller approached us.

"The couple was last seen at Pops Chocklit Shoppe. Apparently stuff went down with some other kids and they stormed out. We currently have 5 search teams all over Riverdale and we're checking street cameras."

"We all need to stop arguing over Betty and Jughead's romance. We need to talk about where they went." Polly said. I saw Archie Andrews run in and then Kevin Keller came around the corner.

"I came as soon as I heard...where are they?!" Archie shrieked.

"That's what we're trying to figure out." Jellybean shrugged. Sheriff Keller got a call on his radio and then gasped.

"They found them!" Sheriff Keller screamed. I gasped and ran into my car and followed the police men to Riverdale Lake. I was in a rush and needed to save Jughead and Betty.

I got out of my car and went closer to the dock. I then saw that they were both unconscious. I got by Betty's side and checked for pulse. She barely had a heartbeat. I checked Jughead and he wasn't breathing at all.

"I need 2 ambulances right now!" I screamed. A doctor ran over to me and started to check them.

"Can you tell what happened?" I asked.

"I can easily from the way their positioned. He must have pulled her up onto the dock and gave her CPR. He used his last breath...to save her life. The ambulances should be here in about 5-minutes. Do more CPR on the girl and try to do chest compressions on the boy." The doctor said and he left. I started to doing CPR on Betty and she coughed up a little bit of water. She was awake, barely.

"Jolene?"

"Hi Betty. Don't worry, an ambulance is almost here." I whispered. Betty looked over and her eyes widened and she started to cry.

"Is he ok? Jughead? Jughead?!" Betty screamed.

"An ambulance is almost here for him as well. He'll be just fine." I said calmly. I looked up and saw the ambulances. The doctors got out two stretchers and put Betty on one and Jughead in the other. I decided to get on the ambulance with Betty. We started driving immediately. The other doctors put her on heavy oxygen but she kept taking it off.

"Please, tell me if he's ok!" Betty cried.

"Ma'am-" One of the doctor's said.

"I love him, please help him!"

"What did you say?" I asked.

"I love him so much, save his life!" Betty cried. She was sobbing and I looked at her heart rate...it was going way to fast. She was gasping for air and I put the heavy oxygen mask back on her.

We arrived at the hospital and I pushed her inside to the emergency room. She was next to Jughead and he was somewhat awake. Betty's family stood by her and Jughead's family stood by him.

"Jughead!" Betty yelled.

"B-Betty?" He asked weakly.

"Yes, it's me!"

"What happened?" Jughead asked. Then another doctor ran in.

"Guys! I just got a call...they have lungs for Jughead! They're on their way right now! 2 gorgeous lungs!" The doctor yelled. Jughead's family started to cry tears of joy and so did Betty.

"We need to get him ready for surgery. Take him into the other room!" I yelled.

"Jughead, I love you! Hold onto that!" Betty cried.

"I-I love you too." Jughead said and got pushed away. I was getting ready to follow him into the room, but I stayed with Betty.

"I love him so much, please make sure he's ok." Betty is whispered. I nodded and took her to a hospital room. I just needed her to relax. She took a few deep breaths in and out and then I put her on heavy oxygen, and she went right to sleep.

"Nurse Jolene-" Mr. Cooper started.

"Just Jolene, please."

"What's the whole story behind my daughter and that boy?"

"It started about 1 month and 3 weeks ago. She was put as his caretaker. They spent lots of time together and within that time...they fell in love. I tried everything I could get them to stay away from each other...but they wanted to be together. That boy...was getting oxygen in his lungs from a tank, all of his life. He gave that oxygen to your daughter, to save her life. He would rather have her heart, than a new pair of lungs any day." I said. The Cooper family all exchanged looks and I left the room.
