BETTY POV

I've been helping out in the nursery for 2-weeks, which I'm fine with because I love babies. But they've been 2-weeks without seeing Jughead's face. I needed to see him but I could never think of a way how. Nurse Jolene was constantly checking on him and I to make sure we weren't coming close to each other. I missed him...a lot. I hear he's been really bored and sad lately. I've seen Archie quite a bit though and we talk. Archie's been coming often for check ups because of his Leukemia.

I went to my room and Cheryl was putting on her lipstick in the mirror and I noticed she was in a very fancy dress.

"Beyoncé just called...she wants her extremely expensive dress back." I said.

"My girl, Toni Topaz, is taking me to a weird yet sophisticated party and I needed a gown. How do I look, Betty?"

"You look very nice. Go out there and have a very fun time. I'll be back when you come back and I'll be right here." I said. Cheryl smiled and then left the room. I sighed and looked in the mirror. I looked at the silver locket that hung around my neck, the one Jughead got for me. What was I doing?! I was supposed to be with him, up in his room. Not as his caretaker...but his girlfriend. So I came up with a plan, Sure it was cruel, but it was guaranteed to work. I made my way to the 8th floor and saw Nurse Jolene standing outside Jughead's door.

"Oh my gosh, Jolene!" I yelled. She gasped and ran over to me.

"What is it?"

"There's a man named...Roderick...Finkleberry, that really wants to talk to you in the lobby! He's says it's an emergency!" I cried out. She ran into the elevator and went down. I went to Jughead's door and knocked.

"Jughead! It's me, Betty! Open it!" I whispered loudly. His door shot open and we hugged tightly. We stopped and he looked at me confused.

"Betty, I-"

"We don't have much time, you probably have 3-minutes at most. I'll get my backpack with your supplies and meet me on the 1st floor of the hospital at the staircase. You and I are gonna sneak out to my car and have a wonderful night together."

"But Betty, you know that I'm not supposed to leave hospital grounds?"

"You claim you're gonna die anyways...screw rules." I rolled my eyes. I kissed him and then I ran off. I ran down the stairs to the bottom and waited for Jughead. He soon followed me and we went to my car. It was a sneaky move but we did it amazingly.

"Betty, that was...awesome." Jughead chuckled. We laughed and then I started the car and I began to drive.

"So Jughead, you told me once that because of Emphysema, you haven't been able to have to have the childhood you wanted. Where are we gonna go?"

"You're not serious."

"I'm dead serious."

"Alright...there's a diner called 'Pops Chocklit Shoppe'. I've only been once when I was 6-years old." Jughead sighed.

"Then I guess we're going to Pops." I smiled. We walked in and everyone automatically looked at us. We sat in a booth and Jughead started to look around. Then 2 guys in letterman jackets came up up to us.

"Hey Betty, are you still studying...you prude!" The guy laughed. The other guy laughed so did a few boys from the booth behind us. Then they looked at me.

"Who's this?" The guy asked.

"I'm his freaking girlfriend, douchebag. Jughead, this is Chuck Clayton and Reggie Mantle. They're nothing but jerks from high school. Thank goodness I'm smarter than them."

"No need to get upset, baby! It's all fun and games...and I mean, what is your Cancer patient gonna do?" Reggie asked. Jughead scoffed and then stood up.

"Did you just call me a Cancer patient?"

"I did! What are you gonna do about it?"

"It's called Emphysema, hoe!" Jughead yelled and dumped his milkshake on top of Reggie, everyone gasped. Reggie just stood there in shock.

"By the way, I have 3-years to live...then you guys will die from bad karma and then we can all have a tea party with the devil together." Jughead smiled. I pulled him out and we got back in my car.

"Ok...so that was a bummer. But there are plenty of things we can do!" I exclaimed.

"Well...I've only been to the playground a few times."

"Then we are going to the playground and have a lot more fun together." I said. I drove to the playground and Jughead sat on the swing.

"Uh Betts...I don't know how to swing. I know it's pathetic but oh well." Jughead sighed. I started to push him on the swing and I taught him how to properly swing.

JUGHEAD POV

When we were done swinging, she went over to the slide. She went down it and giggled. Her smile. Her freaking gorgeous smile.

"Betty."

"Yeah Jughead?" She says sitting at the end of the slide.

"I'm getting ready to say something that will probably ruin everything between us but I have to say it."

"Ok...then say it." Betty asked in a concerned tone. I looked at her in the eyes and sighed. I had to say it.

"I love you, Betty Cooper." I said. Betty was in shock and then giggled. She ran over to where I was standing kissed me.

"Jughead Jones, I love you." She smiled. We kissed again and then hugged. I love her, I really do. Especially after everything we've been through together.

"So...where are we gonna go now?" Betty asked. I got the perfect idea.

"Riverdale Lake!" I exclaimed.

"No! Absolutely not!" Betty shrieked.

"Why? Because you can't swim?"

"Yes! That's exactly why!"

"Well, Betty...I've never been to the lake." I shrugged. Betty glared at me and then groaned.

"Fine! We can rent a boat at and go on the lake. For 10-minutes only!" Betty yelled and we went to the car. The lake...here we come.
