PEOPLE WALKED DOWN THE STREET. They crowded the pavement, bumped against one a another and screamed at each other. Due to the amount of humans, they were hard to tell one by one, but a pair of them could be caught with ease.

Her strawberry blonde hair made her an outcast to the blonde, brown and black. The barely visible hint of metal in his metal arm differed from the other shades of skin all around him. Their pace was fast and alert, their eyes locked in front of them as they dodged anything and everything that go in the way.

The assets were used to a small amount of people around them. They we're accustomed to the cold, barely illuminated cells that they only shared with one another, or the even cold and lonely cyro chamber that they had been in for as long as they could remember.

        Which, wasn't a lot.

The only moments when they had to be with people were the days that multiple superiors, agents and handlers reunited in massive big rooms to watch them fight, torture them or wipe them. But then again, they didn't remember that. So, the mere feeling of being trapped within so much people made shivers rise up their spines, and goosebumps appear on their skin.

When they finally entered a small alley, they found a stairway towards apartments that had been abandoned for years.

"Where are we going?" Allura asked, looking at the man with a raised eyebrow. The soldier turned to her with the same stone cold face she had.

"I think this is where we part, partner." He told her, the Alien only gulping and looking up at the building. The two then locked eyes, staring at each other for a minute.

She saw the sadness in his eyes. The confusion, the anger, the desperation for a memory to make an appearance and the profound fear of HYDRA. For a millisecond, she wondered why she could identify all of those emotions so easily: but it was because she felt them too. It was because without even looking at herself, she could feel all of that in her own body, think it in her mind...

       "If you wish."

Sending him a nod of respect, her green eyes piercing into his blue ones, she turned around and walked back into the crowded streets of Washington DC with her hydrogen tank in her backpack and the clothes they had stolen back in the forest.

She observed everything curiously, not knowing what pretty much anything was and not understanding what to do in a place that was so strange from the prison she had endured. Her face showed uncertainty, her body rigid and always ready to attack as a reflex to pretty much any movement close to her.

The asset walked, going inside a store quietly and looking at all the mirrors once inside it. Her head tilted to the side, like it always did when she was concentrated, and she felt a small shock in her head.

The strawberry blonde looked up when she saw lights being pointed her way, rushing into hiding and stepping into a building full of mirrors. She looked at her reflection, her skin glowing blue and a red color around the iris of her eyes. Her long hair was loose and in slight waves.

"Wer ist da?" Who is there? A voice called, footsteps approaching as a small woman walked inside, her eyes widening at the sight of the stranger's skin. She started taking steps backwards, Allura only analyzing the person who looked like her kind, but their skin being strange and their eyes a color she had never seen before.

Then a loud scream banged in her ear drums, Allura hissing and fall in on her knees as an old woman approached her, the owner of the store worried for the young girl.
