THE EMPTINESS THAT CONSUMED HER seemed as deep as the ocean, or as high as the sky. It seemed like a bottomless pit and her mind and life had been the ones to fall in. She walked with a given purpose, yet not a purpose of her own.

She was lost in her own head and she couldn't even hate it.

Allura marched across the street, a gun in her hand as her piercing green eyes adjusted to the pitch black night. Her strawberry blonde hair was in a high ponytail, not a strand falling on her face as it would block her view.

Her gaze drifted from the mission as she stared at the bracelets that were pressed tight on her wrists, the feeling of the headband also overwhelming her as she tried remembering what they were for— to no avail.

She looked at the building above her, the shiny metal arm that she had come to recognize as her partner was also heading over to their goal, both sharing one same trigger word and one same goal.

They had to kill Martin John. He was a known scientist from the SSR, and had been a threat to HYDRA since before the strawberry blonde had arrived to earth. Before they had turned her into a machine that could kill and torture at their desire.

Carefully, and smoothly, they entered the structure, their silhouettes telling them each other's location as they gracefully landed on the floor, Allura standing up and looking at her prey that was staring at her knowingly, a hidden fear in his eyes.

"I know who you are. The Alien, they call you because of the unnatural red limbal ring around in your eyes, or the more advanced strength that you and the Winter Soldier seem to possess." He stopped short when a sharp metal went through his back into his stomach, spitting blood as the courage in his eyes faded. "He's - He's looking for you." He told her, his body becoming dull and lifeless as he lied in the ground, the Winter Soldier standing behind him, his eyes stone cold.

The two shared a look, jumping off the window and on their feet, rolling to lessen the impact and running all the way to HYDRA— because they knew they'd be severely punished if they attempted an escape.

The man and woman who had grown to know each other so well entered their 'home' like complete strangers as the sun rose behind them, the two not even talking as they were taken to the same cell they had been at for the past two years, a crystal glass dividing them this time as another bathroom and shower was installed on the other side.

They each minded their own business, literally not knowing what they would talk about so deciding against even trying. Winter Soldier was the only name she knew to call him, and Alien was the one he knew, and that was about everything.

So, Allura fiddled with the golden bracelet she didn't know about, finding a strange sort of comfort and nostalgia from looking at it, but found it entertaining to play with. Her strawberry blonde was now down and it made her skin look paler but at the same time soft.

The soldier cleared his throat awkwardly, his blue eyes looking for any guards. "We did a good job back there." Allura's green eyes turned to him, widening slightly at the fact that he was talking to her before regaining her composure.

       "Yeah. We did."

The doors in the cells opened, the two looking at each other and walking out to the room they supposed they'd be expected to be at. It was something they were forced to do daily: they had to fight and kill a few agents to improve their skills and learn how to use new machinery.
