Lance PoV:
It's been 4 hours. Four hours since Pidge was rushed to surgery. I knew Allura was pissed when they didn't let her do the surgery, she knew that there would be consequences if she didn't, we all did. But the doctors didn't listen. And now that mistake may cost Pidge her life. Shiro got to the hospital around 10 minutes after Coran closed the doors, so Hunk took him to my room. It's kind of interesting talking to him. Apparently he had know Pidge and her brother, Matt, who was supposed to arrive with their parents in a couple of days. Pidge and Kieth went to school at Garrison Academy and were good friends, but Shiro and Matt were closer friends. When Shiro talked about Pidge's life before the crash I felt a wave of nostalgia, making me think of my family back in Cuba. I have to stay strong, for them. I told him about my life, both in and out of the hospital. I told him about my dream to become a pilot and go to space. When I said that Shiro said that, whenever Pidge was struggling with school, the first thing she would do was look at the stars, and if it was daytime she would read about them. She devoted her life to space. She said that her and Shiro made a pact: if she died before him, he would get the Galaxy Garrison to name an official constellation after her, and visa versa. His voice chocked when he got to that part. We sat in silence as Allura walked in with a smile on her face. She didn't even say anything but Shiro jumped out of his chair, despite saying that he was going to pass out from exhaustion not even 15 minutes ago, and bear hugged Allura. She then lead him to the ICU. And that was it. I sighed a breath of relief, happy that Pidge was alive.

Shiro PoV:
Katie was in a medically induced coma, but Allura said that they could wake her up the next day. They also placed the synthetic stomach in as well, but since it was still a trial and they are still testing its functionality, Katie would have to stay at the hospital. Humph. Kieth was pretty nervous as well, though he tried not to show it. But whenever he left the ICU, I knew he went to cry in the car, because no matter how strong someone is, a loved one in pain will always break them. No matter what. The few times I've seen Lance throughout the hospital he always asked me about Pidge's condition, he seemed worried as well, even though he'd only knew her for a few days. That's the Katie Effect if I've ever seen it. Which I had, when her and Kieth first met. Last night when we were talking I saw him soaking up every bit of information I said about Katie. Closing his eyes as if he was imagining Katie in those situations.
It was truly beautiful.

Lance PoV:

-The Next Morning: brought to you by Lance's pure-ness-

They were finally going to wake her up. Shiro, Kieth, Hunk, Coran, and I were all crowded around her bed as Allura eased Pidge off the coma-inducing medicine. She woke up, not like the perfect Sleeping Beauty, hah! No. Pidge Gunderson woke up screaming, "Hey! Blue Shirt! Watch out! Your gonna get fuckin run over! Oh, hey Shiro. Are we having a party?" That caused a few laughs. "Haha, very funny Pidge. But no, not yet at least." Laughed Shiro. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and I went back to my room to answer it.
It was Mom.
"¡Te visitaremos la próxima semana!"
"¡Espera, de verdad! ¡Mamá, ¿por qué no me lo dijiste antes?"
"No sabíamos si podíamos costear el viaje. Pero podemos, ¡así que no te preocupes!"
That reminded me of my family's financial situation. Ever since I had been diagnosed, the cost of everything really took a toll on life. Then, out of no where, Galaxy Garrison's Future Pilot Foundation called us one day and offered to pay for all of our medical costs. As long as I continued to dream of being a pilot. Even still, years later, the doctors always say "Your costs have been covered by the Galaxy Garrison." And I breath a sigh of relief.

Pidge's PoV:
Life is crazy. Allura and Coran, who have now designated themselves head doctors on my case and only doctors on my case, are looking at my vitals every twenty minutes. And Hunk is walking me through how to take care of my new synthetic stomach. Gastrointestinal specialists are also coming in he room to take pictures of the healing scar "for research purposes." On top of that I've been trying to do my homework for school. Kieth has been bringing my papers in and basically been acting as my homework messenger but eh. He doesn't complain. But I might email my teachers to just send me all my homework for the rest of the school year. Coran starts to clean my scar and I wince slightly at the sting, it was still a little red and bloody but Coran said that was normal. Also, I was slightly worried about Lance, he left in a hurry a few hours ago to answer a phone call. I hope there's nothing wrong. "Hey Shiro, do you know where Lance went?" I asked.
"No," said Shiro smirking, "I thought you hated him?"
"Shut the fuck up, it's not like that. I plan on staying single forever, remember?"
"Uh huh, sure." Shiro chuckled.
"You little shit! Kieth tell your brother that I don't wanna date anybody!"
"Can't that's against the laws of denying a crush." Kieth said without looking up from his phone. I flipped him off. I didn't even like Lance. I've only know him for, like, three days. I don't even know his last name! We're only acquaintances. I tell myself. Only acquaintances...

Lance's PoV:
"Can't that's against the laws of denying a crush." Who did Pidge have a crush on? Kieth? Makes sense.
"Um, hello, my name is Colleen Holt do you know where our daughter is?" A woman about 40 asked. Holt Holt Holt Holt where have I heard that name? "Oh! You mean Pidge! Yeah, I can take you to her, she woke up about 20 minutes ago."
"Okay, thank you, let me go get my husband and son." Colleen left and was back within 5 minutes. I lead them to Pidge's room.

Pidge's PoV:
"Oh Katie!" My mom cries, "What are we ever going to do with you?" I told them everything, Shiro and Lance filling in the details I either didn't remember, was in a coma/unconscious, or forgot. It took an hour.
"Um, never let me in the drivers seat of a car?" I say laughing. Allura and Coran then came into the room, they introduced themselves to Mom and Dad, then got to the serious shit. I didn't want to hear, so I put in some music and started to code a new computer program. I didn't notice Lance walk over to my bed, I also didn't notice him kneel next to me. I did harshly flinch when he tapped my shoulder asking if we could share my green earbuds. I gave him the left one and continued to code while Lance watched intently. It was kind-of-almost peaceful, if you didn't pay attention to my parents and doctors arguing with each other about me. I wish Lance didn't have to hear all of it. "Do you wanna go to my room? That way we won't have to listen to your parents and Allura arguing." Said Lance.
I nodded. "Hey, Weeb, can you help my move my shit to Lance room."
"Speak for yourself gremlin, what do you need me to carry."
"My laptop, treat it as you would treat your nonexistent girlfriend," that got a small protest from Matt but I ignored him. "Lance is any of my lines caught in anything?"
"Nope we're good to go."
"Onwards, My weebo brother and this kid I meet literally three days ago!" I said, as if I were leading a war march.

-Time Skip: brought to you by my laziness to write them walking 16 feet, it is now 4 hours later, it's also Matt's PoV-

I go to check back on Pidge and I find her asleep on Lance.

She says she only met him a few days ago, but I can sense the growing romantic tension between them. I quickly snap a few pictures and send them to Kieth and Shiro. The pictures are for blackmail, I only sent them to Shiro and Kieth so if Pidge finds out and makes me delete them, they won't be gone forever. Haha evilness takes planning. I walk back to Pidge's room only to hear Mom and Dr. Allura arguing "She can stay here, but as soon as she is healthy she comes home! Is that understood?" Yelled Mom. Allura looked terrified but determined, like she had a mission set out for her.
"Understood Ma'am," she turned to me, "Matt, isn't it? Is Pidge still in Lance's room? Sh- actually they both need to take their medication for the day and eat." I nod.
"I can help you move her back if that's okay." I say somewhat nervously.
"Perfect! I just need you to wash your hands and put a mask on, their both extremely vulnerable to sickness at this stage in the treatment."
When I picked up Pidge, I was disturbed by how light she was, before the crash she was maybe 110-120 lb, now she must be only 80 or 90. I told Allura this and she made a note on a nearby sticky note to give Pidge more weight gaining food in her dietary plan. I carried Pidge back to her room with Allura trailing behind me with her IV pole. I took a picture for memories and went to the cafeteria to eat.

Allura's PoV:
As I hang Lance's fluids on his pole, I think of what Matt said to me, the fact that Pidge was drastically losing weight. So, after I make sure Lance is receiving his meds correctly I put in an order for some weight gaining food (A/N- I don't know the correct name for this type of food :/ whoops). Then I give Pidge her meds, empty her synthetic stomach of her breakfast, and give her some food through her feeding tube, which me and Coran are debating whether or not to take out, same with her NJ tube. After that I go eat with Coran.

A/N- Hey! Hoped y'all liked this one!
Also this is the translation for the phone call-
"We are visiting you in next week!"
"Wait, really!! Mama why didn't you tell me sooner!?"
"We didn't know if we could afford the trip. But we can, so don't worry!"
