𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐃 already consumed the streets of Iacon. Music blasted, everyone's voices and laughter blurring together as they took advantage of a moment of peace within the seemingly endless war. Each street was filled with new bots that weren't only Iaconian, all illuminated by colorful lights shining from the buildings.
The stars and moon provided even more light to their celebration, the fact they were slowly coming to their highest point in the sky irrelevant to them—at least for now.
While normally this would've been a joyful dark-cycle, Bumblebee seemed to be the only one amongst the crowds with a frown on his faceplate. He imagined that if the circumstances were different then Eclipse probably would've forced him out with her to these parties unfolding that she just couldn't ignore. She probably would have dragged him to each and every street to get a little taste of everything, and he wouldn't have minded. He would've loved every nano-klik of it, but now, it was only another thing getting in his way to finding her.
The scout had a plan.
How good of a plan he had was questionable, but it was all they had.
They watched and they waited until eventually, they caught Tesla leaving the Capitol building.
It was a risky mission to follow her and Optimus would have never allowed him to go alone. His excuse would've been that he had Cliffjumper with him, but that wasn't much better. The red mech didn't want to let him go alone, and more importantly, be a lookout ever again. Yet, he didn't have time to come up with something better.
He had one shot at this, and the more time he wasted, the less likely his chances were to find her online.
Bumblebee could recall times other Autobots he knew being held hostage by Decepticons, and most of the time they didn't come back. Not online, anyway.
That's if they ever found them.
He wouldn't let the same thing happen to Eclipse if he had anything to say about it.
The crowds became less and less difficult to squeeze through the further they followed her until eventually there wasn't a bot in sight.
By the time the two mechs followed her through the underground tunnel entrance, their confusion was running deep.
Tesla was out of their view now, not that they'd be able to see her very well if she was even a few feet in front of them. The lights were dim and flickering, illuminating just enough to see it was a straight pathway. It was the only reason Bumblebee wasn't stressing about losing the femme. Besides, the small stomps of their pedes echoing louder than their steps themselves would've been a dead giveaway if they were too close.
