𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐍 peeked over the horizon, the Autobots were on the road.
Hours of travel passed before they reached Chicago, an eerie and nostalgic feeling as they did so. It looked nothing like their first battle or the one after. Each time the city was rebuilt and fixed it was different, disregarding the few areas that were... closed off due to the level of damage and lack of funding.
The group had made their stop at an abandoned chapel on a quiet street in the city. These sorts of buildings were beginning to become a norm for them to take shelter.
What a way to spend Christmas Eve.
They found that the KSI headquarters were seemingly like a fortress as they scouted the area while Cade was going to find a way to obtain something to blackmail the company and the government.
There was a full-on manhunt out for their group after the events at Cade's home, so now they had to be even more careful.
The plan was to divide and conquer. Shane and Tessa had already left with Jazz and Arcee, the two in charge of stealing food and the essentials, nothing else. However, the femme knew that 'just the essentials' was not likely going to be the only thing that returned with them.
The building they were in was dusty and nearly empty of all furniture. Every surface was covered in a layer of dirt or dust, and any of the old furniture left was hidden beneath dirty, white sheets. There was the occasional corner of trash items or graffiti from those who broke in as they had. Clearly, it hadn't been used for its original purpose in a long time.
Drift sat with Optimus in a far-off corner, their hush conversation heard by the rest of the group lounging about. Eclipse was seated on the floor beside a standing Bumblebee. She was watching their sparkling race around the room playing a game with the blueish-grey mech and scout.
Nova had been given the adaptation of retractable wheels on her pedes, something Sideswipe had. The wheels allowed her to speed around the room in her mixed version of Peek-A-Boo and Hide n' Seek with Bee and Bluestreak. The objective was for the mechs to catch her before she popped out.
Sideswipe hadn't been exaggerating when calling her a speedster because she was quite fast and sneaky. Eclipse had been caught off guard the first time she ducked behind a pillar and appeared somewhere completely different.
This game didn't work in her favor as much when she was in her holoform in the farmhouse.
The sparkling ducked behind a desk, the scout's helm shooting in that direction.
