𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄 𝐎𝐅 Chicago, the world was even more lost than it had ever been. So many lives had been lost, and they were all looking for someone to blame.

The government got involved, and from there, everything spiraled downhill.

The entirety of Earth decided that all Cybertronians needed to be discarded from their planet, including the Autobots.

With Chicago's events covered up to only appear as an alien attack, covering the truth of everything, there was only one group to blame even if divided. Autobots were believed to be dead after trying to be sent off the planet

The humans took the credit for saving their planet and turned everything around on those who actually had saved them.

Cybertronians were hunted. Killed. It didn't matter if you were an Autobot or Decepticon. To them, it was black and white.

And Eclipse would never forget her last normal day.

It had been... strange not to have everyone on Diego Garcia like they normally were for years.

The death of loved ones, being introduced to the war, all of it was very new for the only bitlet on base.

Nova was restless, not knowing what to do with herself or how to cope. From witnessing Sideswipe's offlining, seeing battle first-hand, the grieving of those around her causing a constant state of sadness had traumatized the poor femmeling.

It took hours before they were able to pry her from Eclipse's chassis.

She'd run away every time one of the Autobots transformed their servos into a cannon, even from Bumblebee and Eclipse. She didn't want to be near one.

Of course, this fear would fade as she got older and understood the war, but it was currently really tough on her.

Her creators didn't know what to do with their traumatized bitlet for the first few weeks. Everything they attempted had failed.

Until they decided a change of setting, to part from the gloomy atmosphere, might be best for their family as a whole.

So, the three said their goodbyes and left the base for a road trip with a destination in their processors.

Unlike the anticipated complaining and boredom bitlets should have had on such a long trip, it was silent. There was no whining or asking when they'd be there. She was quiet, simply staring out her Bee's window.

She cooed for the first time when she spotted the blue ocean waves sparkling in the distance, the sound absolute music to worried creators' audio-receptors.
