To my insecure beautiful ladies,
It's the mirror you've been looking at yourself at. And you tucked yourself up in bed with tears streaming down your face.
Your mind whispers "I am ugly."
You are ugly because you've ONLY seen yourself from the mirror.
You don't see yourself giggling with tears laughing over a funny tv show. You don't see your face light up with the sight of your favourite ice-cream, and when you put on your best dress.
You don't see yourself smiling after helping an old lady crossing the street, and your silent prayers when your heart hurts from all the kindness and love you have for the world after a heart-breaking video you watched on Youtube.
You don't see yourself too focused on something you are passionate about. And the brightest smile feeling relieved when you complete an equation that keeps you up all night.
You keep on telling yourself that you are ugly but you don't see yourself sitting in the train, next to the window with earbuds on. You don't see how cute you look when you smile after you passed by a dog wishing you could just cuddle it.
The thing is, you feel ugly because you've only seen yourself in the mirror.
You don't see all these little things that you do, in the smallest moments, in the time when you don't even try to be beautiful.
Yet you still be very beautiful.
