Chapter 10

~ The Next Day ~

3rd-person POV
The next day wasn't as eventful as the last. Around town news went around that the leader of Hiakoto, Hyakko Party, Naotora Momose, was in fact, dead.

People felt rejoiced that maybe they'll be able to finally be able to roam the streets without worrying about the basically terrorist group. With the jaegers, they took this time to take a break, or patch up broken equipment, such as the car.

(y/n) walked out of the Naoe residence, and took a deep breathe. In the distance, she saw Yuliy and Willard talking, and not too far from her, Fallon and Phillip trying their best to repair the car.

"How's it going?" (y/n) asked as she walked towards the two. "Not too good. We have to replace two parts, but we don't have the kind of money or skills to repair it." Fallon explained.
Phillip then rolled our from under the car.

"This is why Yuliy should've done this. He's better at it than me." Phillip whines. "He's a bit busy right now." She said as she looked from the direction where she saw Yuliy, then towards the boy in front of her.

Once her eyes made contact with Phillip, she giggled, along with Fallon, and pointed at her right cheek. "You got a little something there." She said. "Wha- really?" Phillip asked.

Quickly, he wiped the stain with his wrist, which proved to be a mistake as it smeared across his face. Fallon began to laugh, as did (y/n). "You got grease all over your face!" Fallon laughed.

"What?!" Phillip panicked as he turned to the reflective surface of the car.

Still chuckling, (y/n) shook her head as she grabbed a towel from the top of the car. "Here." (y/n) said as she handed Phillip the towel. "Thanks." The blonde replied as he vigorously wiped his face with the towel.

Phillip got the stain off of his face, and peaked from the towel to look at Yuliy. "They don't look alike... do they." Phillip said as the two jaegers looked at him. "Who?" Fallon asked.

"Yuliy and his brother." Phillip said as (y/n) sighed. "They've never really looked alike." She told him as Fallon shrugged. "It's not so bad. It wouldn't be good if he looked like a vampire anyway." He joked.

(y/n) watched from a distance as Willard and Yuliy talked. She leaned against the car as she crossed her arms, and stared at the ground. Phillips look up at her as she thought. "Hey, you okay?" He asked her as she looked at him with a slightly shocked expression.

"Ah, y-yes. I'm fine." (y/n) said, a bit nervous was she waved it off. "I was just thinking... is all." She said as she walked towards the household. "Where are you going?" He asked as she turned to face him.

"Just going to go shower. I'll see you guys later." (y/n) said. As she waved, and walked away.

~ Timeskip ~

(y/n) sat there in the bath, she had it all to herself. It was quiet, with no interruptions or sounds to distract her. With this time alone, it let her think. It let her think about everything that happened up to that point.

'What is the Sirius Ark?' (y/n) asked herself as she stared at the ceiling. 'Why is every vampire after it?' She asked again as she then stared at her hands. "What will I do, if we lose, or if we win?" She asked as she held her head in her hands.

   "Will Yuliy, or I be okay after it's all over?"

Her head, still kept low as her hands lowered into the water gently. "I need to stop thinking about that. It keeps scaring me." She mumbled to herself as she slowly got up, and grabbed a towel as she went to change.
