"I love you."

Silence.

Perrie can't wrap her mind around Jade's words. She herself doesn't know yet how she feels about the brunette. There's always going to be some affection between them, she knows, but should she really get into this for the third time? Jade and her didn't work out so far, so what's the point in trying again? She will just end up being hurt again.

The princess touches Perrie's arm, disconnecting her from her thoughts. When she looks into these brown eyes, which never fail to make her feel loved, she can't picture a reality without Jade; in that moment, the blonde realizes she's so lucky to have someone who truly cares about her, in the most precious way. And there's no way she's going to give that up.

She comes closer to Jade, until it almost feels like four years ago. Even though Jade wants so badly to crush into the confectioner's lips, she waits for Perrie to make the move. A few seconds later, she does.

The kiss is a slow, soft, dreamy one. The brunette is on cloud nine, taking in everything. Until Perrie remembers what happened today; she remembers Luke. The blonde pulls back and everything stops. The worried look in Jade's eyes is unmistakable, hoping Perrie didn't just regret. Another period of silence wraps the two women.

"Pez?" The older girl finally dares to say.

"Jadey, I..." Her voice cracks, breaking the princess' heart. "It's been such a long day, I... I can't make any decisions right now."

"It's okay, I understand." The brunette replies. She's disappointed with herself for confessing to Perrie even though she knew the timing is wrong; if only she would have waited a few more days, that kiss could have lasted.

"I really need to go," the confectioner says. She's supposed to go to New York tonight, in order to see how her shop there is doing. "I have a flight in four hours-"

"Pez, LAX is not that far. You can stay a bit longer."

"I'm sorry." Perrie says. She grabs her handbag and heads towards the door, feeling worse with every move she makes. "I really need to go."

"Okay." Jade quietly says, looking down. "I'll see you later, then?"

"Yeah, I'm just- I need some time to calm down, to distract myself." She replies. "I'll be back, I promise."

"Alright." Jade tells her, a bit more satisfied. Perrie leaves, the brunette closes the door behind her and loneliness fills them both.

Perrie is exhausted from the flight and this whole day. She can't wait to get to the studio apartment she's been renting, right next to Fairy Tale Ice Cream, and just collapse on the bed.

She's currently at passport check at the airport, waiting while the security guard matches her face to the picture on her passport. Even though the blonde is very tired right now, she can still sense this regular check seems to be taking too long.

"Miss Edwards?" The tall security guard asks.

"Yeah?" Perrie replies, confusion present in her voice. Usually this is the part where they just say enjoy your stay or have a nice trip.

"Follow me please." He exits his little booth, locks it, and starts walking. That's when the blonde begins to realize something might be wrong.

"Where are we going?" She asks while walking behind him.

"Just a moment," he replies. The confectioner holds tight to her handbag and keeps moving her feet until the security guard tells her to go into a room, which isn't a very inviting one. She enters, he leaves and closes the door. The room only has a few chairs and a table inside of it, and it's enough to make Perrie feel intimidated. Her heartbeat is increasing and she's beginning to feel a bit scared. The confectioner sits where she feels is the most neutral spot, at the table.

The door opens and a female security guard enters. She nods at the blonde and sits in front of her, the table separating them.

"Hello, my name is Anna." She begins. "Are you Perrie Louise Edwards?"

"Yes," Perrie quietly says.

"You are summoned to court." The confectioner's heart skips a beat. She's never been to court before. "Amazon.com, Inc versus Edwards, P. The trial is set for July sixth. Here are the documents." Anna hands Perrie a thick pile of papers.

She can not believe Amazon is suing her. She gave her everything to that company; sold Chocolate & Chocolate to it, and let it take control of all of it. What can they possibly sue her for?

"What is this about?" Perrie asks in a scared voice. She's just a tiny little person compared to the giant that is Amazon.

"Violation of contract terms, I believe." Anna replies. "If you are unable to afford an attorney the state of New York will appoint you one. Do you understand?" Anna speaks fast, and Perrie realizes she probably meets people like her all the time and says these words on a daily basis. This calms her down a bit, and she nods her head. "You can go now. Please remain available for further information and prepare the needed documents by the due date listed."

Perrie stands up, feeling dizzy, and leaves the room. She quickly enters the first bathroom she can find and stands in front of the mirror. She's in a less busy part of the airport, so there's no one else in the bathroom except for her.

The confectioner takes a quick look at the lawsuit papers she was given. She can't understand most of what's written there, though she understands that she's being sued for opening Fairy Tale Ice Cream. There's a clause in her contract with Amazon which says that she can't compete with Chocolate & Chocolate, and her new shop does just that. They want her to close it and take her rights off Chocolate & Chocolate.

Tears start streaming down her face, and the blonde closes her eyes. She hates that she doesn't stand a chance against such a big power in the industry, but most of all, she hates herself. Everything about this deal with Amazon was a mistake, she knows it now; and this lawsuit is going to defame her name and ruin the good reputation she has built for herself, as well as taking two of the most important things in her life away from her - her businesses.

Perrie can't be alone right now. She goes through her contact list, trying to find someone who won't judge her. Not far down, she finds exactly the person. It takes a few seconds to set the courage to call, but she finally does so.

"Jade," Perrie says as the call is answered. "I need you, please. I'm so scared." Her voice cracks and she breaks into tears.
