"You look gorgeous!"

"Fabulous!"

Perrie smiled to the four women watching her as she steps out of the fitting room. She really does feel beautiful, but is rather embarrassed by all of the attention.

It is blonde's first appointment at the bridal salon, a famous one in LA, and she brought her mother and her cousin Ellie along to help her decide. The third woman who watches her as she tries on dresses is an employee at the salon, Mila, which appears to be nice and has good advice. It is only the second dress Perrie is trying on, but she is already exhausted. Choosing dresses, putting them on and taking them off turns out to be fairly tiring. All the ones Perrie had tried on so far looked a lot like her old prom dress; they have big gowns and glittery tops, which looks nice on her but aren't what she's visioning for her wedding.

The blonde takes a look at the mirror and decides to go back into the fitting room. She puts on a light, short dress which will be perfect for dancing. The women outside shower her with compliments as usual, and she really does feel beautiful in this dress. If Perrie really did want to get a dress today, she would have chosen this one. But since she isn't, the blonde says she's too tired to decide now and will come back another day.

On the drive home, Perrie pretends to care about the conversation that's going on. Like the past weeks, she doubts her engagement and wonders why Luke had decided to make their affection official. If it really is that strong, why does it need a confirmation? And as usual, she brushes everything off and tells herself that there's probably something else weighing on her right now.

And then, for the first time, she realizes. It's a solution for her problems with Chocolate & Chocolate, how she feels like she's not truly a part of it, that Amazon took the fun parts and left her with the bureaucracy. The solution? She will open a new business. One that's just for her, and she won't ever sell it.

There's no time wasting from now on; as soon as Perrie gets home, she calls her CPA and sets up a meeting, while beginning to form the new idea in her head. It needs to be different from the cakery, since these are two separate shops. She needs someone creative, with a mind like hers, to help her think. And just like that, the notification in her head pops up, the same way it used to four years ago; Jade. No matter how many times she's going to tap okay, Perrie knows this reminder will never, ever go away.

Are you in Long Beach? The blonde texts the brunette, who replies right away.

On set in LA, she writes. I've got some time though

On my way, Perrie texts back. This rush of a new business opportunity in her is one of her favorite things. And right now, for the first time in way too long, the blonde feels alive.

"I need your help with something." The younger girl declares in Jade's ears. "I need your thinking."

The two girls are sitting next to each other, inches between them, on the couch in Jade's trailer. The princess has blue scrubs on, which Perrie quite amusing; it's like playing dress up, but in a very extra way.

"What is it?" Jade asks, excitement clearly present in her eyes.

"I going to start a new business," Perrie explains. "And I'm searching for a concept for it, princess." This nickname slips out of Perrie's mouth just like smooth glaze from a spoon. She can not unsay it, so she decides to just accept that it's been said and smile instead. Jade returns her a genuine smile of her own.

The brunette thinks for a while, then she begins. "How about fairytales? Oh, and ice cream! Fairytale ice cream, where you can get ice cream cakes with princesses on them, and princes' inspired ice cream cones and tubs with lots of sprinkles, and everything is so colourful, including the walls."

"That could actually work out," the blonde replies with a small grin and an inspired look. "And you know what will be the best part?"

"Is it all the tiny hyperactive kids full of sugar we're going to see?" Jade jokingly asks.

"It's all the fairytale ice cream ICF is going to receive every day."

Jade feels a rush of happiness so strong she comes close to her friend. Their hips are touching, and they hear one another's breathing. Then she comes even closer, and she can almost, almost feel those lips.

But then Perrie backs away. Jade looks down at her friend's pale hand, which still wears the diamond ring. The older girl feels bad for what she did, but would do it again on the instant. The confectioner tries to save the conversation by starting to speak again and changing the subject.

"So, um... would you say you're happy right now?" Though she won't ever get enough of these brown eyes, Perrie can't look at her friend right now. Friend, she repeats in her head, as she's staring at the window in front of them. Friend.

"Yeah, but not, like... Well I can't really explain it properly." The brunette replies. "I'm doing what I wished to do my whole life, and I'm so so grateful, but it's hard. Everyone always has something to say, they keep asking if I'm pregnant even though they know I'm single, and it's the big screen that I want to conquer. It's like I'm walking the right route, but I'm not fulfilling my dream. Not yet. "

"I feel the same sometimes." The blonde opens up and says. "My cakery was taken from me, that one thing that really mattered. And with Luke proposing... He is a confectioner as well, and he understands my mind, but - he doesn't understand me. He's a good guy. He's comfortable to date, checks all the boxes on my wishlist. He smells nice. But I don't know why I'm pretending like we can spend more than a day together and not get tired of each other."

"Oh." Is once again Jade's only response.

"Yeah, I... I should go." Perrie stands up and takes her little bag. Jade wants to tell the blonde she can stay, but understands she should to remain silent. "You probably have some work, too." Perrie says then exists, trying to fight the tears.
