The past week was spent preparing for the trip to Thailand, and the awaited day had finally come. Perrie had decided that after all the sadness she had put Jade through, she must come to this trip being her old, sunshine-like self.

It definitely wasn't an easy task. She still missed Luke sometimes, since he was such a big part of her life for so long. The lawsuit stresses her out, and it doesn't seem to be getting nowhere. But this week is going to be different, Perrie tells herself. No one but Jade, her and the views of Thailand. Nothing but relaxation and pleasantness.

As the confectioner steps out of the cab to the main entrance of LAX, she immediately sees Jade. The brunette is wearing a shy smile, though Perrie can tell she's holding plenty of excitement in.

"Pezza!" The older girl enthusiastically says. She makes her way towards Perrie, her pink suitcase rolling behind her. She is wearing sunglasses and a cap, hoping no one will recognize her. "How are you feeling?"

"Could've been better." The blonde says with a smile, not even trying to lie as she knows Jade will notice straight away. "But I'm not going to be a pain in the arse, I promise. I'm really trying to have fun."

"Sounds great," Jade replies as her grin grows. She cannot hide her joy anymore, now that she knows Perrie is happy to go on this trip. "Do you want to go in?" She asks, nodding her head at the doors.

"Sure." Perrie says and both women are making their way inside. They pass the initial security check quite quickly, then give their suitcases away and arrive at the final security check about an hour later. The atmosphere is light, and the sound of laughter wraps them every few minutes. "Alright I think we have at least forty minutes before it's time to board the plane. So we better go grab something to eat because I can't stand airplane food." Jade nods and lets out a little laugh in response. The two soon find themselves at a burgers place, sitting in front of each other at a small square table.

After receiving their orders, Jade grabs her burger and takes a bite of it, closing her eyes with pleasure at its taste. Perrie is about to taste hers as well, but is interrupted by the sound of an incoming notification. She grabs her phone, ready to silence it, since she knows it's probably just work; nothing special. Though her plan vanishes when the lockscreen shows an email from her attorney.

Perrie goes silent, unable to disconnect her eyes from the screen. She can hear Jade's voice, but it seems distant. The blonde taps on the notification and is faced with a very long, intimidating email. Jade wraps her hands on Perrie's while calling her name, bringing the blonde's mind back to the moment.

"What is it?" The older girl asks, pure concern in her eyes. It takes a moment for her to answer.

"I don't know," Perrie replies, handing her phone over to Jade. "Can you translate it to like, regular English? That I can understand?" The brunette takes the offered device and reads the email. She has always been a person of words, and the task is easier for her.

"They're offering you to settle. Close Fairy Tale Ice Cream, and they will drop the case." Jade explains, trying her best to summarize it all. "And your lawyer thinks it's a good offer, because the verdict might be worse." Perrie wants to ask how can it get any worse? They want her to shut down the business she's most proud of, after she has been working on it for months. Though then she realizes she doesn't really want to hear the answer to this question, and decides to drop it. "You should just call your lawyer, Pez. He will advise you what to do."

"Okay," Perrie mumbles and takes her phone back. She makes the call while Jade watches her. The blonde is caught up in the conversation and doesn't notice anything else, so luckily the brunette hears the proclamation of their flight being delayed for four hours due to weather conditions.

As Perrie hangs up the call, she seems much more calm. She tells Jade about it, how the lawyer pretty much said everything Jade had told her earlier. The brunette lets a smile creep in, then lets the blonde know about the change in schedule.

"We'll have less time there, but it's okay, right?" She asks the younger girl. "I mean, it's not ideal but we'll make it work." Perrie nods in agreement and goes on to consult with Jade about whether she should agree to the settlement agreement or not. The discussion goes on for a long time, as the two have hours to spend at the airport before their delayed flight. Without much knowledge in law, the two women bring up every possible verdict. At the end of the lengthy conversation, Perrie decides that she's going to say yes. She will lose Fairy Tale Ice Cream, but she will save Chocolate & Chocolate, and it's much better than losing them both.

The blonde phrases a formal reply to her attorney when, once again, it is announced that the flight to Bangkok is delayed. This time, the delay is nine hours long, which makes Jade fume with anger and frustration. They had already missed thirteen hours of their vacation in total - a whole day! The flight is almost twenty hours long, which means they had only six days in Thailand anyhow. And now they will have no more than five.

Telling all of that to the representative of the airline doesn't make any change, and Jade feels even worse when she goes back to sit next to Perrie.

"The actual trip is so short now, and the flight is so long," the brunette says. "I don't even know if it's worth all these hours on the plane. We should just go home and spend the week together." The disappointment in her brown eyes is unmistakable.

"You're probably right," Perrie replies after a short silence, matching the same sad tone.

"I'm so sorry. I know Thailand was your dream," Jade says, looking down.

"It isn't." The blonde replies, making Jade look up at her in surprise.

"It isn't?" She repeats in disbelief. She is sure she had heard Perrie directly say that on Christmas.

"No, Jade. It's you." Perrie says, then cups the brunette's face in her hands. "You are my dream."
