Mae is already disappointed. Parehong palpak ang dalawang nauna. Ano naman kaya ang mga susunod pa? She's starting to lose hope. Will she really meet her love tonight? Or everything will turn out to be a disaster?
Naupo na si Mae sa mesa kung saan nakaupo na ang date niya. Hindi man lamang siya binati. Ni hindi nga siya matignan. Nakayuko ito at nakatingin lang sa hawak na baso.
MAE: Did I sit on the wrong table? Oh may diperensya lang talaga tong date ko?
Tumikhim si Mae upang ipakita na may tao sa harapan niya. Siya na ang nag-umpisa ng usapan.
MAE: Hi. I'm Mae. In case you dont know, I'm your date tonight. So, you are?
GERALD: G-Gerald.
MAE: Hi Gerald. Nice to meet you.
GERALD: Same here.
Kumakain na silang pareho. Tahimik. Ang maririnig mo na lang ay tunog ng kani-kanilang kutsara't pinggan.
MAE: Is he not gonna speak?? Oh Lord...
MAE: Are you gonna stare at your food the whole time? Are you not gonna ask me something like what's my favorite food, color, hobby, etc. You know, getting to know stuffs.
GERALD: Whats your favorite food?
MAE: Pasta.
GERALD: Favorite color?
MAE: Blue.
GERALD: Hobby?
MAE: Oh c'mon! What's wrong with you? Your so stiff, timid, shy. Hey, its just me. I'm not gonna bite you.
GERALD: I-Im sorry. Its my first time so..
MAE: Oh geez. I'm done. I'm going home. I'm sick of this dates!
Pagkasabi nun ay tumayo na siya at dumiretso na sa pintuan ng resto. Pagkalabas ay nadatnan niya si Jace sa labas na nakasandal sa kotse nito. Agad siyang nakita nito.
JACE: Hey, that was a fast one. How was it?
MAE: Shut up. I wanna go home.
JACE: What?? Hindi pwede Mae. Ipapahiya mo ko. Tapusin na lang toh pls. Dalawa na lang naman eh. Ok?
Napabuntong-hininga si Mae. Tumingin kay Jace.
MAE: Ok.
Bumalik si Mae sa resto at pinuntahan na ang susunod na date.
MAE: Hi.
Bati ni Mae sa lalaking nakaitim na nakaupo na rin. Nagulat pa siya dito dahal sa look nito. He was all black! Not the skin, but the outfit. Is he a gothic fan or something? He has black tight long sleeve shirt, a black tight skinny jeens, black converse shoes, black thick eye liner, a silver bling bling and a black long hair!
JOJO: Hello???
Nagulat si Mae. Na-shock kasi siya kaya hindi siya nakapag-react agad.
MAE: Im sorry. You are?
JOJO: Jojo. Mae tama?
MAE: Oo.
