I rushed out of the castle and back to the long hallway. The only challenge, now, is to find the way out of this place. The hallway looked longer than before and way more confusing. I started to go forward looking for an exit.
As I started walking, my necklace started to glow and then stopped. Then it started to blink rapidly and lifted into the air. It started pulling me forward, yanking at my neck. Keeping one hand on the necklace, I took it off to avoid choking and it immediately started being dragged down the hallway. I twisted and turned and the world started to blur. My feet were trying to grip on to the floor but I couldn't keep in one spot. A strange feeling suddenly came over me, it felt as if there was no gravity, and before I knew it, I was in the courtyard, the bright noon sun glaring down at me. I shook my head. What just happened?
"Sam!" A voice yelled and started rushing towards me. I used my free hand to shade my eyes from the bright sun and squinted. The figure came closer and I realized it was Blaine, a very worried and very, very mad looking Blaine.
"Where in tarnation were you?! I was so worried?! What if something bad happened?! You missed the tour! Again!" She exclaimed, shaking me by my shoulders.
"Relax, Blaine. I was fine. And where were you? Plus, I saw my parent's painting in a large room and I got to learn more about them," I replied, prying her hand off my shoulders. She looked very guilty.
"We might have accidentally gone the wrong way. Blaine knew where to go so we just came back. We thought you were following us but you weren't. We figured you already went back." Alex said sheepishly, coming up from behind Blaine.
"Well, maybe next time you can wait up for me. But the weirdest thing just hap-" I said, getting cut off by Ms. Alberts.
"Alright, everyone! We are starting an extra tour as lots of you just missed the last one! We will be leaving shortly!" Ms. Alberts explained. Blaine and Alex looked at each other.
"Finally! We can go on the tour now! Come on Sam! We gotta go!" Alex said excitedly, skipping over to a group of students that had gathered around Ms. Alberts. I slowly trudged ahead. Here we go again. The tour was pretty much a blur and all I could think about were my parents. We trotted along as Ms. Alberts explained what was happening.
First, we went down a hall to a set of rooms. They were pretty big and Ms. Alberts called them the charm rooms. Next, we went down to the basement and were shown the potion classes which were very dark and the walls were covered in shelves of different ingredients. After that, we were taken to a huge room with soft pillows and mats everywhere. These were the spirit chambers. I am looking forward to that. Later we walked over to a huge library that was about a hundred times bigger than the local one. Next, we went to another set of classrooms, similar to the charms and were told that these were the control rooms. The garden at the top of the building was stunning. Filled with vibrant and colorful plants, it made the whole garden glow. Small pixies flew around, making my mouth hang open in awe. Once we got down from the garden, Ms. Alberts showed us the weaponry. It was filled with rows and rows of objects. Most were weapons but others were just everyday objects. I saw a particularly boring broom. Apparently, that is where we get our weapons for tracking and combat. Once we finished the classrooms, Ms. Alberts showed us the cafeteria, a lounge for free time, the teacher's office, and many other rooms that I didn't quite understand yet.
The school was huge and I couldn't help but think that this would make for a really fun game of hiding and seek with Benji and my sisters and brothers. I frowned thinking of my siblings. I missed them. We came to a stop back in the courtyard. "Okay, everyone! That'll be all. And don't forget that the woods is a very dangerous place and you should never be out alone at night! Good luck with classes and dinner is at 7! Sundays are your only day off in the week and dinner is served at 7 on no-school days such as today! You can make your way to the dining hall, or cafeteria now, as the time is currently 6:45! Thank you for coming on the tour today!" Ms. Alberts said, gesturing towards the dining hall. This school is huge. I linked arms with Blaine and Alex and headed towards the cafeteria. We sat down at the Phoenix house table and were amazed to a huge dinner like the night before and we headed back into our room.
"What a day, am I right?" Alex asked as we walked inside.
"Totally," I replied heading into the bathroom. I pulled a lever in the shower and was engulfed in warm water. It felt like I hadn't showered in weeks. Once I had finished showering, I plopped down on the bed and I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
Sorry for the short chapters everyone! We haven't really had time to work on Stormcraft Academy so we took a little break.
