I turned around, still dazed from the encounter from Xavier and his gang. I couldn't believe that no-good Xavier would hang out with someone as innocent as Christopher. It almost seemed like a fairytale. Xavier being the evil villain, and me being the brave protagonist. Good always defeats evil. I chuckled at my thoughts. I was just being paranoid. It was perfectly fine for Xavier and Chris to be friends. I turned around and moved my attention to the amazing library in front of me. Floating trees seemed to go on forever and large leather bound books hung from their branches. Every now and then there would be a table or two where students sat reading books. I decided to walk down the path occasionally grabbing a book and flipping through the pages. I don't know how long I've been walking but soon, the trees began to change color from the bubblegum pink to a deep purple. "YEARBOOKS" was written on a golden arrow pointing to a giant purple tree with vines taller than me. I grabbed the closest one to me. In golden cursive letters on royal purple leather, the book was titled "Yearbook Year XXXX-XXXX" I flipped through the pages, skimming through smiling faces of kids my age until I froze, staring at the face of a girl with wavy black hair but what excited me the most was the girls name, "Amanda Steinwhich", aka my mom. My grin turned into a full on smile as I spotted another familiar face, a boy with light brown hair, his bangs covering half of his face, Leonardo Galdur, Dad. My smile sooned turned into a frown as I suddenly remembered that Alex, Blaine, and I were supposed to meet by the paper airplanes for lunch. I scanned the room and ran to the counter near the entrance where a little old lady was sitting on a pile of pillows underneath a large nearby tree, the vines hiding the Checkout sign. As she approached the woman, the woman looked up at her and smiled. She was missing a couple teeth and had a large scar across her cheek but something about her made me feel safe.

"Hello Love. Checking out a book?" The lady asked.

"Yes please, but can we hurry? I have to run, " I replied, handing her the yearbook.

"Of course, dear," I replied, "Name?"

"Samantha Galdur."

"Oh is it now! I knew your father!"

"Really? That's great"

I replied, glancing at the students leaving.

"Oh yes. Lovely boy. Very quiet though."

"I would love to hear more but I have to go. I'll come back tomorrow!" II called, sprinting down the yellow path barely sparing a glance at the lady. I forgot all about Alex and Blaine. Hopefully they're still there.

Sorry everyone for the short chapters but just letting everyone know that the chapters will be a lot shorter from now on.
