I jumped out of bed and got changed as quick as possible. I practically fell out of my bedroom and rushed down the staircase, past the dining table and the kitchen, to the living room. Everyone was already sitting on the huge L-shape couch while Oscar was repeating the plan.

"Okay, everyone. We need to go out and get some supplies for the Academy. Remember the plan. Sam and I will go get some more clothes with our savings. Sierra, Lucy, Benji, Abigail, and Clara, you clean up the house. Alissa, Sarah, Noah, Andrew, and Vicky, you try to earn some more money for supplies. Jackson, Emily, and Henry, find some suitcases, and Layla, Ivy, Harry, and Anna, go help everyone else and you are in charge of food. Sam and I are the only ones going out to buy supplies so ask one of us if you need to get something. And remember to go to Sam to get your 150 Galarians. Any questions?" Oscar asked.

"Why do we need 150 Galarians if the letter said to bring 100?" Andrew asked from the end of the couch.

"The letter said to bring at least 100 Galarians. We're just being safe. Any other questions?" Oscar replied.

"Who will take care of the house while we're gone?" Clara asked.

"That's a good question, Clara. Mrs. Goor will take care of the house while we're gone." Oscar said, referring to the old lady that lives in town and is a butcher. Mrs. Goor was good friends with our parents and used to tell us stories about them.

"Any more questions?" Oscar asked again. When no one said anything he nodded.

"Okay then. Operation Academy is a go."

Everyone then split up. Oscar and I walked upstairs to get some of the money. It was in their parents' old study. They walked upstairs and walked to the very end of the hallway and opened the door. After their parents had disappeared, the police had taken most of their belongings for investigation purposes. So the study was empty except for a bookshelf full of books covering one of the walls and a desk that sat in the middle of the room. The desk was bare except for a large glass jar full of gold coins. The rest of the room was old and dusty. On the jar was a piece of tape that said, Savings. Oscar and I grabbed the jar and brought it back downstairs. We had just sat down on the couch with the jar when Anastasia came over to us.

"Hey, Anna. What's up?" I asked her.

"Oh, I was just gonna ask for my 150 Galarians." She replied.

"Sure. Just give me a sec." I said, heading to my room. Once I arrived, I squatted down a pulled out a similar jar but with pieces of paper instead of coins. I grabbed the jar and brought it downstairs. Anna was waiting with Oscar.

"Anna, could you get Layla? I need her to activate this."

"Sure. LAYLA!!!" Anna called really loudly.

Moments later, Layla came down to the living room. I gave her the jar and she closed her eyes. We waited patiently as slowly, the paper turned into gold strips with 150 Galarians written on the front. Once it was done, she opened her eyes and handed it back to me. Layla's power was to make and undo illusions.

"Thanks, Layla. Now just take one okay, Anna?" I asked, turning from Layla to Anna.

"Okay." She replied, opening the jar and taking one out.

"Sam, we really should be going," Oscar said.

"Okay. Be careful!" I said as Oscar and I grabbed a handful of coins out of the jar each and headed out of the front door.

As soon as I stepped outside of the house with Oscar, I was greeted with the smell of salt and a burst of cold breeze that blew my long chestnut hair. Good thing I wore my hoodie. Our house was on the top of a very tall hill that had a cliff. If you fell off that cliff, you would fall right into the ocean. The town was a 30-minute walk away from our house and the train station was a 30-minute walk from town. It was very peaceful and secluded up here, and sometimes it seems lonely from the outside. Our house was old and not in the best condition, and we didn't have enough money to fix it. But we had each other and that was all that mattered.
