Dear Diary,
It's almost time! I just got my Hogwarts letter today! I'll finally get to go! James went last year, and I can't stand being left here, all alone all day. I'm ready to learn magic, to get sorted into my house (unless what James said about you having to duel another wizard to get sorted is true, then I'd rather not...) and to finally make friends. Wow, that makes me sound so lonely. But it's always just been me and James, and I don't mind, but it'll be nice to have some other friends too, proper friends that you aren't related to.
I can't wait! I'm so ready to spread my wings and fly! Well, that's all for tonight.
