She was pretty. No, she was VERY pretty. And she was James's sister... And he'd almost hit her with a bludger...

Sirius sighed for what felt like the millionth time. 'For heaven's sake Padfoot, just go say sorry to her already, your sighing is giving me a headache!' Complained Remus jokily. Sirius gave him a half hearted smile. Remus stared at Sirius thoughtfully.

'Something wrong Moony?' Sirius asked, after he thought Remus had stared at him long enough.

'I don't know, is there? You've been awfully quiet since you almost hit James's sister-'

'Who he didn't tell us about!' Sirius interrupted moodily. Anya raised an eyebrow at him meaningfully.

'Is someone developing a wittle cwush on James's sister Padfoot?' Anya asked. Sirius growled at her.

'Of course not!' Anya laughed and shook her head.

'Glad to hear it Padfoot.' James said drily as he came in through the portrait hole. Sirius flushed and Anya sniggered.

'C'mon Prongs, don't give him such a hard time, it's not like he aimed for her or anything.' Remus said distractedly as he continued with his Potions work.

In the Hufflepuff common room Sienna sat in an armchair by the fire and worked her way feverishly through Arithmancy, Alchemy and Advanced Divination.

'Enna! Wanna come with us to the Quidditch pitch?' Jay asked, flopping down next to her on a couch in front of the fire to warm up his toes. Sienna smiled at his antics but shook her head regretfully.

'No, sorry Jay, but I have so much work to do, and I'm really behind.' Jay nodded dejectedly. 'I'll see you all at dinner though, and then we can play a game of exploding snap, ok?' Jay perked up at the mention of exploding snap and nodded. Sienna laughed and turned back to her Alchemy homework...

'You're overworking yourself Sia.' Sienna looked up tiredly into Alex's concerned face. It was well past midnight but she still hadn't finished her work yet. 'C'mon, you need to go to bed.' He reached down and neatly grabbed her books from her lap. Sienna reached for them weakly.

'Alex, give them back, I have to finish my homework!' Alex shook his head and Sienna burst into tears. Alex dropped her books and sat down beside her, pulling her into a hug.

'You're pushing yourself too hard Sienna, you need to drop some classes.' He said gently, while Sienna sobbed into the front of his night shirt.

'I know I should, but I don't want to!' Sienna cried. Alex stroked her long brown hair thoughtfully.

'What if you just dropped Muggle Art, Muggle Music, Art and Music? They're just extra curricular.' Sienna nodded, her eyes still wet with tears. She hugged Alex back gratefully.

'Thanks Alex. You're right, I am pushing myself too hard. I'll tell Headmaster Dumbledore tomorrow...'
