It Takes Time

Heartbroken

- Alex, you gotta getcho ass from out this bed. It's been 3 days, Cotton said.
It's been 3 days since Alex caught Derek cheating on her at the club. Star, Simone, Cotton, Bruce, and Carlotta did everything in their power to get Alex up and to forget about it. But, she doesn't budge.
- Fine, I'll get up, Alex said finally.
She pulled the covers back to get up. Star, Simone, Cotton, and Bruce held their noses.
- You needa go jump in that damn shower. Smelling like somebody died inside you, Bruce said.
- Alex, you needa talk to him, Simone said.
- I can't. . . I just can't right now, she said.
- You got up finally, Carlotta said as she walked in the room.
- Look guys, thanks for helping me and all. But, I just need some time to myself right now, Alex told them.
- You need some time in that shower. Smell like somebody died in here, Carlotta said.
- Yeah, you really need to go take a shower, Star said.
After the girls left from out the room, Alex got up and went to go shower. I really do need to shower, she said to herself. After her 10 minute shower, she pulled her hair into a messy bun and threw on a pair of sweats, a oversize T-shirt, and her Adidas slides. She walked downstairs to join the rest of the ladies when she felt dizzy.
- Alex hun, you okay, Cotton asked.
- Yeah, I'm fine.
- You don't look too good, Carlotta said, looking into Alex's eyes.
Next thing everyone knew, Alex collapsed on the floor.
- SOMEONE CALL 9-1-1, Carlotta yelled.
That's all Alex remembered hearing. . .

Alex woke up in a hospital bed with an IV in her arm. She looked around and saw the girls in her room.
- What happened, she asked as she rubbed her aching head.
- You passed out in the shop, Simone said.
- Doctor said you're going to be fine, Bruce said.
Dr. Woods walked in with a clipboard in his hand.
- Hello, Ms. Crane. Hello girls. How you're feeling, Alex, he asked.
- My head hurts like hell, she said.
- Can you tell us why she passed out, Star asked Dr. Woods.
- Yes, I have the results right here. Ms. Crane, you passed out because you're pregnant, he said.
The girls froze in their places.
- PREGNANT, they said together.
- You're pregnant, they heard a familiar voice asked.
They looked over and saw Derek standing at the door with a confused look on his face.
