The Last Straw

- Mom! What are you doing here, Alex asked in shock.
- Baby, you ran off like a runaway slave. You had me and your father worried, her mother replied.
- Daddy doesn't give a damn about me.
- Ou snap, Simone echoed from behind Alex.
- Would you mind, you peasant, Rose said.
- Don't talk to my sister like that, Star said as she started to charge towards Alex's mom.
Simone grabbed her older sister before they get arrested for fighting.
- Alex, imma take her inside to calm her down, Simone said.
- Okay, Alex replied.
- Those are your "friends" now?
- Mom I- Mom, they're not my friends. They're my sisters. Whatever you and dad are trying to do is not going to work so get over it.
- Honey, me & your dad got a divorce.
A lot of thoughts were going through Alex's head. Why did they waited so late to get one of her mom knew that her dad was cheating on her the whole entire marriage?
- If You Knew He was Cheating throughout y'all marriage, why you waited until now to get a divorce?
- Honey, it's not that easy. I know i was a fool for staying with him, but, i came to my senses and left him for good.
Alex couldn't do nothing but stand there and looked confused. She wanted to tell her mom to go away and go back in the car and cry her eyes out. But, at this point, she don't know what tp do.
-Alex darling, her mom said, snapping her from out her thoughts.
Her mom handed her a piece of paper with a room number on it.
- I'll be staying at the Resorts Inn. That's my room number & the hotel number is on the back.
Alex watched her mother walked into the limo and rode off. She entered the McDonald's and saw Simone, but not Star.
- Simone, where's Star, she asked confused.
- She said she was going outside for 5 minutes, but she didn't came back, she replied as she bit into another fry.
- Imma go and look for her.
Alex went outside to look for the blonde, but she didn't see her anywhere. When she was about to enter the restaurant, she heard a scream. She knew who scream that was too: STAR.  Alex darted towards the scream.
- STAR, STAR, STAR, she yelled.
She found a Darkskin man choking the blonde behind a dumpster. The man looked at Alex and pulled out a gun.
- BACK AWAY BITCH, he said while pointing the gun at her.
Alex slowly backed away and stumbled across an object: a silver metal pipe. She picked it up and ran towards the man. Next Thing she knew, she hit the man across his head and saw him fall to the ground, blood coming from out his head. She picked up a terrified Star, who had a bruise around her neck.
- WHAT DID YOU DO, she yelled as she shook Alex.
- I- I killed him.
- Oh my fucking god.
Simone started to call Star's Phone, But no answer. She then called Alex's Phone, no answer either. She had no choice but to go outside and look for the pair. She saw the duo and ran up to them.
- What the fuck Happened To ya-, Simone stopped in her tracks as soon as she saw who the body was.
- Simone, stay calm, Star said.
- OH MY FUCKING GOD, Simone yelled.
- WHO THE FUCK IS THAT, Alex asked Worried.
- That's Simone's foster dad, Otis.
- What the fuck happened?
- Okay, Alex imma Tell you. When I went to get Simone, I found him raping her. So, I stabbed him and I thought he was dead. When I came outside to take a call, he covered my mouth and dragged me behind the dumpster.
- We- We Have To Get Out Of Here, Alex said.
- Wait, What we going to do with the body, Star asked.
- I don't know, but we have to leave. Where's Simone?
- She's At The Car Already.
The two headed to the car and found Simone beside the car with a joint in her hand. Star Took The joint and smashed it on the ground.
- Yo, What The fuck was that, she asked her sister.
- Look, We Have To Get From Outta Here, Star said.
The trio got in the car and drove from the McDonald's. They rode in the car with silence for 35 minutes until Alex broke the silence.
- What are we going to do, She Asked.
- I don't know, Simone replied.
- But we gotta do something.

After 2 hours of driving around, the girls finally got to Carlotta's house. They were exhausted, sleepy, & hungry. Star & Simone got out the car to go in the house.
- You sure you don't need to crash here tonight? You know you carrying a baby now, Simone asked.
- I'm good. I have to clear my head right now, she replied.
After she watched the girls head into the house safely, she pulled into the driveway of the house. Before she went in the house, she sat in the car and begin to cry. A lot of thoughts were rushing through her head at the moment. She looked down at her stomach and begin to say/
• Hey little one. I know you're hearing what's going on right now, but I promise you me & your daddy is gonna treat you like a princess/prince and we're going to give you the life we never had. Love you.
She got out the car and closed the door of the house quietly so she wouldn't wake Derek up. Ms. Ruby was out of town with Bo, so she & her boyfriend had the house to themselves. She turned on the lights and saw Derek Sitting On the couch, waiting for her.
- Where were you? I've been worried sick about you. Ms. Carlotta was finna Call the cops to look for y'all.
- Babe I-
-You What?
Alex ran to her boyfriend and hugged him as she started to cry. Derek Took his girlfriend into his arms and sat them both on the couch. He rocked her back and forth, trying to comfort her.
- It's okay, he whispered to her.
-It's okay.

WHEW. So as y'all heard the news, Star isn't getting a Season 4🥺. But, I Will Still Continue To Update this Book. Im sorry it took me so long to update: I graduated from 8th grade🤪. I might do a time jump, idk yet, but tell me how y'all like this chapter.
