"The taxpayers of New Orleans deserve a skilled Chief of Police," Klaus spoke up as he and Ophelia stood on the balcony while the latter held a man in a police uniform in a choke-hold off of the balcony with one hand while he sipped a cup of coffee with the other.Klaus casually stood beside her, smiling proudly at her actions and how she seemed to not care all about what she was doing. He loved the way she always maintained her humanity over the centuries, but he always loved how she hard that dark side of her, one that only came out when necessary.
The police chief squirmed and gasped for breath, a terrified look on his face as Klaus continued on, "How inept are you if not a single one of your men can locate the woman I seek?"
The police chief continued to try and plead with Klaus and Ophelia as he dangled over the courtyard floor, "We're tryin'! She's a ghost!"
"Aurora de Martel is rather petite and may indeed be able to slip through the cracks like a wicked little cricket, but she is not a ghost." Klaus pointed out and Ophelia smirked devilishly.
"Well, not yet." She reminded Klaus, who turned to her and smirked as well.
"Ah, yes. Not yet," He responded as Ophelia forward so he could look the police chief straight in the eyes.
"I think this city's finest could try a little bit harder, hm?" Ophelia questioned the man with an attitude, "What has gotten into you lot lately?"
Just then, Klaus and Ophelia could hear footsteps approaching, and the duo turned to see Freya and Elijah walking toward them, looking at their younger brother and Ophelia with exasperation, "I see we're in for another normal Mikaelson breakfast." Freya commented sarcastically.
Elijah rolled his eyes and gave Klaus and Ophelia an incredulous look, "Ophelia, for Heaven's sakes!" He complained loudly, "Release the poor creature."
The police chief whimpered and shook his head frantically. Ophelia smirked, turning to face Klaus, "You heard Elijah, release him." Klaus encouraged the woman, but gave her a look that only she could understand what it meant.
"As you wish," Ophelia responded as she released her grip on the man and dropped him, allowing him to fall onto the floor of the courtyard.
Klaus began to laugh in amusement at Ophelia's actions while Elijah and Freya gave the duo exasperated looks. Ophelia simply smiled smugly at them while Klaus continued to laugh, "That's not what I meant!" Elijah complained loudly.
"Perhaps you should have elaborated, the ," Ophelia sarcastically suggested, "How was I supposed to know?"
Klaus continued to smirk as he held out his arm for Ophelia to take. Ophelia smiled, stepping toward him before locking arms with Klaus before they began past Elijah into the upstairs living room, "Oh, he'll live!" Ophelia responded without a care in the world.
"And hopefully, after his fall, he'll remember to do better," Klaus added in.
Elijah and Freya both rolled their eyes and shared an annoyed look at the duo's poor behavior before they followed them to continue their conversation, "Is all this torture necessary?" Freya questioned Klaus, knowing he was the cause of the chaos while Ophelia simply decided to join in since she seemed to have a lot of extra time on her hands lately, "And is it really necessary to invite Ophelia into your mischief? She grows more and more like you by the day. She no longer has any regard for human life because of you."
Klaus rolled his eyes, deciding to ignore Freya's complaints and instead called out into the hallway, where Marcel had just arrived, "Where have you been?"
