"Cecilia what did I tell you about the damn shoes!?" Ruby yelled/whispered. "It's okay Ruby, I told her she could." Olivia says laughing as she placed a hand on my shoulder. "Thank you Olivia." I smiled as she nods her head.

"Twins help your father pack the car." Mom said. as we nod our heads. "I do need help." Dad says "with your mother not the car." He said as I giggled. "Come On papa." I say as I take the stuff from his hands. "Here I'll help too." Jacob says. "Thanks Jake." I said as he takes the stuff from me.

*At Martinez Residents*
*After Performance*

I feel my phone vibrate. I smiled as I continued dancing with everyone. It was Oscar.

Papi🤤: Have I ever told you, you look beautiful 😻

Me: hmm 🤔 I don't think so, but you can if u want 😊

Papi🤤: Nah I think I'm good.

Me: ☹️

Papi🤤: I was joking Princesa😂 you are beyond beautiful. Te amo mucho♥️

Me: Te amo mi amor 😘

Papi🤤: is your performance done?

*end of convo*

We continued dancing and laughing as the song 'Changes' by Dej Loaf came on. "Ayeee." Lena said as we continued dancing. "Julia." I say as I have her a hug. "What up bitch." She says laughing as we continued dancing.

As I look down at my phone waiting for Oscars text to tell me he's here. I got a text from him but he said that he had to do a run real quick so I waited. As I continued to enjoy the time. I went over to Ruby and Olivia. "Finally." I say as I hug em both. They chuckle as they start dancing too.

Cesar and Monse behind them. "Damn everything is coming together." I say as the two chuckle. Next thing I knew all I heard was Ruby yell "CESAR!" Then a gunshot went off. I ducked down to the floor as everyone else did so and started running off.

Once I looked up I looked to the ground. "RUBY!" I yelled and ran to his side. "No mijo! Ruby! Ruby!" My mom yelled. I felt my body give in and fall to the floor. "CALL 911, CALL 911!" My mom yelled again. "You're gonna be okay Ruby. You're gonna be okay." I say holding his hand.

I look over to see Olivia on the floor too. Along with Jacob. "No no no!" He yells as tears fell from his face. "Mijo stay with us." My mom yells again. As I just sat there not knowing what to do. As I continued to cry. "Ruby! Ruby!" Olivia says trying to reach out for him. "Don't move Liv. Don't." I said going to her side. "Ruby." She says again as she slowly starts shutting  her eyes. "Liv! Liv!" Jacob says holding her close.

Soon the sirens filled the air as the ambulance came. "Please i need everyone out the way." A man said. We all got up away from the two as two gurneys came in to take the two. Jacob following behind with my mom and dad. "I can only take one." The lady says. My mom gets in for Ruby.

Jacob got in with Olivia as they drove off sirens wailing. I look back at Gabe who was in tears. I run to him and just cling onto him. As he embraced me and held me tightly. "They'll be okay." He whispered. "I hope so." I said back as I tried not to sob too much but it was impossible.

"Ceci." I heard. I look beyond Gabe as I see Cesar frowning. "What the hell happened?" I hear another angry voice. I turn around to see Oscar. "I uh." Cesar started stuttering. "Cesar. What's he talking about?" I asked wiping my tears. "Latrell's alive." He choked out. Oscar was talking to me about handling his shit and I knew what that meant.

"Wait what?" I asked "he shot Ruby, and Olivia." He cried. As I felt my heart ache even more after knowing who shot them. My breathing was out of control. as I was hyperventilating and I couldn't catch my breathe. Everything around me starts spinning. My eyes fluttering trying to stay open. But soon they closed as I felt my body hit the floor. "Ceci!" Was the last thing I heard before everything was dark.

*Next Day*

I flickered my eyes open as I took the warm wash cloth off my head. "What the hell." I say barely audible. "Alright. Yes. They're already handling it." I heard as I rubbed my eyes trying to get up. Realizing where I was. I was in the Diaz house. In Oscars room. As I opened the already opened door I walked out to Oscar on the phone. "Yes I'll make sure. No I won't. I already know the consequences." He says "alright." He says hanging up the phone.

He turns around to look at me. "Aye Ceci." He says holding me tightly. "How'd I get here? What happened?" I asked confused why I was in his house. He let out a sigh "do you remember anything that happened last night?" He asked I shook my head no. "I was at the Quince then we were all dancing." I say.

He let out a sigh. "Ceci. Olivia got shot." He said as a tear slipped "What? Where is everyone then? Wait why am I here?" I asked worriedly. He shook his head "ceci sit down please." He said pulling me down and holding my hands. I give a confused look. "Baby I have to go please." I say. He shook his head "your parents wanted me to look out for you here." He says. "They don't want you to leave." He says.

I got confused really quickly. "What why?" I asked confused. He looked down at the ground as he shook his head. "Oscar." I say sternly. He took a long pause before he said "Ruby was shot too." As I felt my heart ache even more. "Who did it?" I finally choked out.

"Latrell." He says. I felt my body stiffen at the name. "I can't just sit here" I say freaking out trying to get my stuff together to leave. I fast walk into the room to grab my shoes grab my clothes and head for the door pacing back and forth. As I felt my breathing getting very heavy.

As I saw Oscar keys not caring I grabbed them. "Ceci no." Oscar says grabbing me before I could even walk out. "No let me go!" I yell trying to get free of his strong embrace. "Stop it! Let me go! I need to go see RUBY!" I yelled before I started to squirm even more.

"Mi amor please." I hear as I tried taking his arms off me but nothing worked. I let out a big sob as I just broke down and gave up. As I fell to the floor following with Oscar. As he held onto me. That's all I did was cry. Cry until I had no more tears left.

*half hour later*

We were still sitting there on the floor as he just held me in his arms. He brushes his hand through my hair. "Why must I stay?" I asked "Prophets are out everywhere. With Cesar not killing Latrell, Cuchillos called the shot for if we see any Prophet they're dead." He said. He took a very long pause but soon continued "And that means the Prophets want blood too. Yours is their top priority along with Cesar." He says.

"Where is Cesar?" I asked scared. "Getting dealt with." He says. I get up as I help him up and sit on the couch. I laid down on his chest "do you think he's okay?" I asked playing with his hand. I hear him sigh. "Not even the slightest." He replied.

I frowned. As everyone knew what happens if you don't do what your told as a santo. The life of a Kid in Freeridge was hard as it was. The life of a kid whose family were all Santos and still are and is supposed to become a Santos was even worse.

You're expected to become one no matter what. There's no wait out of being a Santos and everyone knew that. Cesar was one of those kids who was just not fit for that type of life, but somehow he was chosen to be apart of it.

His grandfather, his father, His tios, his primos, even the gay one, and his very own Brother have all become Santos members and there was no way that he wasn't going to be. "Are you hungry?" He asked me. "Yes." I say "come on I made Pozole." He said. I weakly smiled as I got up and went to the table. All I could think about was how Ruby was, How Olivia was how Cesar was. I wanted to see my family but I couldn't and that's the sad part.
