Chapter 14

Shiro's P.O.V.

Flashback......

As I was walking through the courtyard of the apartments, I had the weirdest feeling that someone was following me. I turned around to find nobody there apart from a few people walking towards the apartments.

'I'm imagining things.' I thought to myself, brushing the notion away and continued in the direction of the school. I wrapped my hoodie around me tightly as the cool autumn wind picked up, sending chills down me.

The school was quiet when I entered, not surprising considering it was the weekend. Memories from when me and Kookie were touring around the school with Namjoon. A simpler time in my opinion. As I was deciding which department to go to, I felt another chill down my spine, just like earlier. I froze where I stood and quickly turned around, only to be met with a pair of pale eyes.

I jumped out of my skin and staggered backwards in fright.
"OH MY! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" The voice spoke remorsefully as I slowly begun to get my courage back.

"It's okay. I had a feeling I was being followed. Just didn't expect you to be that close." I said nervously as I calmed myself down.
"Sorry. Where are my manners? My name is Park Jae. We talked earlier this week." Jae introduced himself to me.
"Oh! Jae! Sorry! I didn't recognise you! I'm Shiron. But most people call me Shiro." I begun to ramble, causing Jae to chuckle.
"Slow down Speedy. It's okay. I end up scaring people due to how in your face is get." He admitted scratching his purple hair with a long dread lock.

"Where are you heading?" I asked him as we started walking aimlessly around the school.
"Music. I'm meeting up with my band mates for practice.". Jae answered.
"You're in a band?"
"Yeah. Me and my dorm mates formed a band when we first came here..." As he begun to explain how he formed his band, the tension that I had feeling earlier had begun to ease.
'Maybe this school isn't as bad as I thought.' I thought to myself as our conversation continued. 

"Not to sound rude or anything, but what are you?" I asked him, changing the conversation slightly.
"Oh yeah. Completely forgot that you're human. I'm a ghoul." He answered me. I stood there frozen.
"Don't worry. I won't eat you. I only eat once a month, plus I have a supply at the dorm." He added shortly after, sensing my fright. I released a breath I didn't realise I was holding.
"I thought you were some sort of ghost pirate based on your look." I said jokingly gesturing to his attire, trying to lighten the mood. Jae chuckled as we entered the Music department and into one of the studios.

The two of us were greeted by four other guys, who were busy tuning their instruments.
"Hey guys. I hope you don't mind but I brought a friend with me." Jae said to his band mates as he gestured to me. The four spookily looked up at the same at me and Jae, more specifically at me.

"A human?!" One with blonde hair exclaimed as he walked towards us from his keyboard.
"Yes. I know she's human, Wonpil. But she's also a student here." Jae defended as the others begun to come towards us.
"Okay. No need to fight." Another with a shaven head interjected, standing inbetween Jae and Wonpil. He then turned to me and came closer. As he did, I stepped back.

"It's okay Shiro. We won't hurt you." He said calmly and gave me a smile. I stared back, wide eyed like a deer in the headlights.
"H-h-h-how did you know my name?" I asked nervously.
"Oh. Sorry. I'm a psychic. First thing that pops up when there is someone knew is their name. Speaking of which, the name's Sungjin." He introduced himself and stuck his hand out, which I shook.
"Very nice to meet you." I answered.

"You already know Jae. So, the guy he was arguing with is Wonpil, a wizard, he's on keys. The guy with the blonde/green hair is Young K, lead guitarist and werewolf. He'll want you to call him Brian. And the guy on drums is Dowoon. He's a Seer. Don't expect to hear much from him. He doesn't speak a lot." As Sungjin was introducing me to the rest of his band, my mind kept wandering back to when I first met my dorm mates. And how they failed to mention that they were supernatural creatures. I know that I can't stay mad at them forever, but it still hurt not knowing the full truth.
