"Oh my god, Guy! You can sleep inside. I'm not a monster!"
I meant to drive home but obviously didn't get around to the driving part.
Not used to someone's face in mine early in the morning, I hold up my right index finger and drive away. I return twenty minutes later with an iced latte for Lennox. I swallow a couple of DICE-UP pills and eat a protein bar.
Lennox and I spend Tuesday going over the script. Lennox pleads for me to stay on as her assistant. I say no.
"I rarely even work a whole month for a client. I like working for myself assisting others. After a few weeks, one begins to work for the client only. That's not my style."
"Okay, one month then. Stay with me for one month."
I already have a headache. I know this is a bad idea. I submit.
"One month. One." I reply.

Wednesday. I meet fake boyfriend and have him sign an NDA. I help settle Lennox in at the house in the valley and drive home. Thursday I'm back at Lennox's Tarzana rental at four in the morning. We drive a mile to set. I wait in the trailer outside the high school. Lennox films her first scenes. I sit in the trailer with my hash vape. Blink. Man is back. Black hair waving in slow motion.
"There you are. It's been a few days."
I think I see a smile. Blink. He's gone.
I hire a girl named Amy to pretend to be Lennox at night for two weeks. Amy signs an NDA. I give her the room key to the Standard and a check from Lennox.
