Chapter 7

Summer POV

"I still don't get it" I said, a little annoyed to my mom.

"I don't understand what you don't get. Me and your father have explained it to you a thousand times" My mom said back, giving me a very annoyed look.

"But... I don't want to go to a school with a whole other pack. After all mom, they are the Amber Sun Pack! The third strongest pack in the world, what if something happens?" I ask a little worried for my own pack members.

"Honey, there is nothing to worry about. Yes, they are a strong pack, but that also means that they keep everyone in line" She walks closer to me and puts her hands on my shoulders. "You're going to be the Alpha of this pack someday, so stop worrying. This is a good opportunity to ally ourselves with this pack, so chin up" My mom left the living room to tell my dad that we were all ready to go.

I sighed, and got my phone and book to keep me from getting bored on the trip there. Before I can make it out the door, my friend Kyle bumps into me.

"Oh, sorry Summer. You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine" I start to blush. Kyle is one of the hottest boys in our pack and I have had a huge crush on him since forever.

"Okay that's good. Hey, have you thought about my offer?" He asks.

"Oh, um, I'm still thinking about it"

"Okay...That's fine. Well, I'll see you when you get back" He smiles at me before heading into the pack house.

"See ya!" I yell back headed to the car.

A couple of days ago, Kyle asked me out on a date. I was so nervous and Lune was yelling in my head, so all I could say was 'I'll think about it'.

'What? He isn't our mate' Lune argued in my head.

'I know Lune, but who knows when we're going to meet him. No one seems to be our mate in our pack, so it could be years'

'I just don't want someone who isn't our mate' She huffed in my head.

I sighed.

"Are you okay turnip?" My dad asked, when he got in the car.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Lune is just being a pain"

'I'm pretty sure, you're the pain human, not me'

I rolled my eyes at her.

"Okay turnip, do be to hard on her"

With that the engine started and when mom got into the car, we started the drive to the Amber Sun pack.

"Hey dad"

"Yeah?"

"How long will it take us to get there?"

"We will be in their territory in about 10 mins, but to get their pack house it will take us 30-ish minutes"

"So, does that mean the school is 40 mins away?!"

"No, no, no. The school is 15 mins away. We just have to ask permission since it is in their territory"

I let out a sigh of relief, there was no way I was going to take a 40 minute bus ride to school.

After that talk I kind of just spaced out and read my book, I only finally looked up from it when I noticed we were at a large mansion. It was way larger than our pack house and there were other houses around it, like a neighborhood with the mansion in the middle.

"Come on honey, it's time to meet the Alpha and the Luna" My mom said getting out of the car.

As I got out, I couldn't take my eyes off the place. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, this pack is one of the top three. The door opened from the pack house to reveal a tall man with light brown hair. I immediately knew who he was, his presence screamed Alpha. Next to him stood a slightly shorter women with long brown hair, that was put up in a ponytail, and she was holding a toddler. They meet us half way in front of the house.

"Welcome! How was your trip here?" The Alpha asked. He seems friendlier than I thought he would.

"It was good. It's great to see you again Alejandro" My dad said shaking hands with him.

"It's good to see you too Conner!" He had a big smile on his face.

I was confused.

"How do you know each other?" I asked, looking at the two of them.

"Well lovely lady, before I became the Alpha of this pack, I was a nerd who's only friend was this guy right here" He said laughing.

"Was? You still are that nerd to me" My dad laughed along with him.

The Alpha finished laughing and coughed. "Sorry for the late introductions. We got to keep it a little formal, am I right? I am Alejandro, Alpha of the Amber Sun pack, and this is my Luna Jolene, and in her arms is our youngest, Max" He finished.

My dad then straightened up and did the same formal greeting. After about 20 mins of them catching up and laughing about the old days, Alpha Alejandro told us to follow his car, so we could see the school.

When we got to the school, I started to feel extremely nervous and my stomach was feeling a little upset. Maybe I'm getting sick. My parents got out of the car first, after I put my book down, I got out of the car. When I was out, I smelled a strong scent of watermelon and strawberries, I turned to look where the scent was coming from and my eyes might brown ones. She had dark brown eyes and had long brown hair, I couldn't take my eyes off her.

'MATE!!' Lune growled in my head.

I couldn't believe it. When she and the guy next to her were finally in front of me, I couldn't look away from her. She looked amazing with her red flannel and shorts. When she started greeting us with formalities, I could feel myself smiling. Looking at the way she straightened herself I knew that she was strong and she was going to be a great Alpha.

I was broken out of my thoughts when someone was shaking my hand. I looked up and it was the Beta, Coleisus. The hand shake was fine until I noticed he wasn't letting go. Then I heard a low growl, when I looked up, I saw it was coming from my mate. I couldn't help but feel joy that she was jealous.

She stopped growling and told us her name was Siska. Her name is unique and I loved it. I loved the sound of it. She started to shake my parents' hands, when she got to me it looked like she was hesitating, but after a second, she took my hand. I immediately felt sparks from our hands touching. Her face seemed to get extremely red, and before I could say anything to her, her body fell limp.

'CATCH HER!!!' Lune screamed at me.

With my reflexes I caught her before she could touch the ground, hugging her body close to mine.

"SISKA?!" the Beta tried to reach for her and take her out of my arms but I growled.

"DON'T TOUCH MY MATE!" My protective nature coming out.

He stepped back, shocked.

Alpha Alejandro leaned down in front of me.

"It's okay Summer, no one is taking her from you. Let's just get her to the pack house and see what's wrong with her okay?" He said with his hands up.

I nodded slowly. Then the Beta took her out of my hands. I could hear my wolf whimper when she was out of our arms. We all got in our cars and started driving back to their pack house.

I hope she's okay.
