Chapter 15

After Cole woke up from his beauty rest it took him 20 mins or so to finally come downstairs. Me and Sol were both bouncing with excitement to get going to school.

"Good morning Mom" He yawns. "What's for breakfast?" He says walking to the table.

"Cole? What are you doing up so early?" She asks confused.

"Early? This is when I normally get up. Why what time is it?" He asks with a confused face now too.

"Well it's..." Before my mom could finish I jumped in and interrupted.

"It's super late! We're going to miss first period, race you!" I say grabbing my bags and head out the door.

Knowing my brother and our competitive nature, I soon hear his footsteps behind me trying to catch up. It takes us minutes or even a couple of seconds to get to the school at our top speed.

I start to slow my pace as we get to the front of the school.

"HA, I win" I say to Cole who is just a second behind me.

"That's not fair! You got a head start" He says as he fixes his backpack on his shoulders.

I notice that he starts looking at the school in confusion and turns to me.

"Aaa, Siska? It looks like the buses just got here. We're not even close to late"

"Haha, oh really? Wow" I chuckled nervously. He finally figured to check the time on his phone.

"WHAT THE HECK!" He turns to me showing the time. "Siska, explain this"

"Okay, okay. So, me and Sol wanted to get here early to see our mate. You always wake up late and the buses get here early, so do the math bro"

"Wait, how did you get me to wake up early?" He asked surprised and confused. Confusion seeming to be his default this morning.

"I kind of snuck in your room and changed your alarm clock to ring earlier" I say not looking at his face.

I kind of feel bad Cole loves his sleep, but at the same time, he wouldn't need it if he wasn't playing videogames till the crack of dawn. At least I put a time limit for my games.

"Wow" He sighs. "Whatever I'm up now anyway, but you owe me breakfast. Psh, making me think I was late" He mutters the last bit under his breath.

"Deal" I laugh.

At that moment I could feel Sol getting excited and her scent hit my nose.

"Why are you smiling? I didn't know you wanted to get me breakfast that much. Aww sis, you must really love me!" He squeezes me into a hug.

I want to push him off and tell him that's not it but Sol stopped me.

'Siska please, he's precious. That him have this moment...And then mate' She says the last part excitedly.

I nod and pat his back lightly. "Yeah Cole, of course I love you" He pulls away and has an excited 'Oh really' face. "If I don't love you who will" I say playfully as I mess his hair up.

He groans. "If you messing my hair up is love I don't want it. What if I see Eve today" He says pouting as he tries to fix his hair.

"She doesn't go to our school Cole" I laugh.

"She might drop by?" He says quietly.

I just shake my head at him. He needs to get some courage and get his girl.

Getting closer to the school, I smell my mate and a whole bunch of different scents which is her pack. I can see they are all waiting outside the school, probably for me and Cole to introduce ourselves and greet them.

Out of the crowd I can see Summer as clear as day. She was in some cute jean shorts and a light blue shirt. Her hair was in a pony tail and she kept moving from one foot to the other, like she was nervous or excited.

I chuckled, maybe she's excited to see me again too. My heart warm at the thought.

Before I could keep admiring her, a guy went awfully close to her and started talking to her. He even reached over and tried to hold her hand.

A low angry growl slipped from my mouth.

"A-ah Siska? What's wrong?" Cole asked a little fear in his voice.

I'm not one to get mad...Ever. I guess that's the disadvantage with being the future Alpha. When you are mad, it's scary because all our emotions are cranked to a thousand.

I have to calm down. Dad always said that this might happen. When Alphas find their mates they are super possessive. He's told me the story hundreds of times he almost killed a guy for touching mom...On accident.

'As the future Alpha of this pack you must always stay in control' He's words echoed in my head.

I slowly began to breath. Sol's angry growls echoed in my mind but I ignored them. My pulse begins to get back to it's regular rate and I am calm, or at least calm enough.

'Sorry Sol, but we have to stay calm and in control'

'WHY!! HE'S TOUCHING WHAT IS MINE!' She yells, still fuming.

'Because we'd kill him. We're the future Alpha of a very strong pack, we can't risk losing control' I say bluntly.

Sol sighs in my head. 'Understood... But we are going to show him who's boss right??'

'Of course'

I straighten my stance.

"Cole" I say a little coldly.

"Y..Yes Ma'am?"

"Let's introduce ourselves" I say while having a pointed stare at the guy close to Summer.

Cole seems to see where I'm looking and understands the situation. He also straightens his stance and has a sly grin on his face.

"Roger that" He says cooly.

We both begin to walk towards the group.
