The Best Friend and the Husband

Chapter twenty four

The next day Madison was shopping for baby clothes and everything else a baby could need and more. She was shopping in-store and online at the same time. Madison was talking with her mother on the phone, she had told her the news and told her to spread the news if she wanted. Madison was getting tired so she decided it was time to go home and put her phone down before she went broke. On the way she got a call from one of her childhood best friends. He was telling her he was in town and that he would be by the house later. Madison was happy she hadn't seen Frank in a few months, but they texted every now and then. When she got home she put some dinner on and called Liza to check up on Asheel. Liza told her everything was fine and not worry. It was about 6:30 and Madison heard someone knock on the door. She recognized that knock and she knew exactly who it was, it was Frank. She immediately got up to answer. She Welcomed him in and they said the usual small talk. He told her the latest gossip and who was with who, who's separated again, who's knocked up, who got them knocked up, and finally he told her what was going on between her cousin more like her brother Marcus and Kayleigh. He had said before that they were fooling around when Kayleigh was with some guy down south. Madison  hated the fact that Marcus allowed himself to down grade. He had an amazing, beautiful wife already but no the little bitch convinced him to cheat and leave his wife, made him think she was better than his wife. She really wasn't all that she was just some gold digger. Marcus was loaded he had made a small little grocery store into a multi billion dollar franchise. I don't get to see him as often as I like. We are both busy people but I know the real reason is because Kayleigh doesn't think we're just "cousins" and is jealous of our brother sister relationship.
Two hours later frank and Madison were still sitting at the counter talking. Then he brought up her husband. Madison felt that it was an awkward topic but frank wouldn't let her change the subject. Somehow they ended up taking about there sex life and Madison was getting all hot and bothered. Madison had said there "date nights" were horrible and they couldn't stand being out together unless they were both drunk. When things first started getting bad Russ's parents took Ash. Madison and russ argued the whole evening. She told Frank that it went on like that for a about a month. Then they eventually didn't go out they just stayed home in different parts of the house or Russ would leave probably to see Sarah and we would let Russell's parents take asheel. Nobody else knew what was going on or didn't say anything, but people could feel the tension whenever they walked into a room together.
They would go out probably every four months they would get drunk, go home have sex and everything would be the same in the morning. She found it sad that that was the only way they could stand each other. Frank had asked her if she remembered the last time they did that. She told him she couldn't remember, but frank wasn't buying it he knew she did. When he brought that particular night Up Madison remembered everything, every breath, every word, every touch. That was the best they had had in a few years. Madison thought that they both probably knew deep down that it was going to be the last time.
