Madison was now eight months pregnant. And boy she was big. Russell had tried not to tell her how big she was. He was careful of his choice of words every time she brought it up.  But of course, he would end up getting yelled at. No matter what he'd say. Today they were going to an appointment. Every time they were driving they would bicker about anything and everything, but Russell would always bring up the fact that he thought Madison was pregnant with twins. He would say "you're twice the size you were when you were pregnant with Ash" and boy would Madison go off on him, and tell him how rude and stupid he was. Sometimes Russell would wonder how he had the balls to say that to pregnant women who's a federal agent. Most men would never say that. The doctor would always prove Russell wrong and tell them it was perfectly normal. After the appointment, Russell dropped Madison off at her house. As Madison walked up to the walkway, she remembered an incident that happened about 10 months ago. She and Russell had arrived at the house at the same time, late at night. Madison had a late shift at the hospital. She had asked one of the receptionist to call Russell and let him know that she was going to be late. But when they met each other later that night Russell said nobody called he had gotten upset. Madison end up getting upset too because he didn't tell her either that he was "working" late
"where were you?, and where's Asheel? You were supposed to pick her up. It's late where the hell is she?!"- Madison
" what do you mean where was I? Where the hell were you? And don't worry Ash is with my parents."
"well, that would've been nice to know. And I asked someone to call you, so don't fucking yell at me. Pick up your phone once in a while"
And with that Madison went inside. As Russell followed behind her. Madison had hated the constant arguing and how it was beginning to be normal for them not to talk for days on end.
Present day
As Madison was opening the door she had a tear threatening to fall. That was probably the worst time in their marriage. Madison and Russell had talked about how they're doing better as friends than they were as husband and wife. Sure the first few years were great, but then something had gone wrong with them. They both still loved each other very much, but the spark was gone. Sometimes Madison hopes that the spark would come back, but then thinks again and the thought goes away.
