Chapter 18

*Camila's POV*

"You actually think people love you? If they did would you feel like this."  She hissed in my ear. "Look at yourself. Look at your face. Look how disgusting you look" a tear rolled down. "You are so weak and stupid. Why are you still here?" She hit me again. I bit my lip in pain. "No one will love you. Stop trying." She pushed me against the wall and left. I slid Down. I can't do this. I need to die. But Lauren.

I took the blade and without thinking slid it across my skin.

She's like an angel. My angel. She appears when I'm about to give up. But why?

I opened my eyes. I was wrapped in my blanket. My room was clean. My arms burned.

There was a knock at my door. "Camila?" My mom. "Come in." I said. She came in and sat down. "How are you honey?" I was surprised at the question. "I'm okay. Why are you asking" "Lauren and I spoke for a while. She said you seemed upset. I just want to make sure you are fine." Lauren how much did she say. "Yeah I'm fine. I just didn't feel to well. stressed because of school. That's all." I smiled at her. "I love you Camila. I'm glad your my daughter." She placed a kiss on my forehead and left.

I laid back and sighed. Oh Lauren. Why do you worry about me. I'm nothing compared to you. But I love you.

The annoying sound of my alarm clock woke me up the next morning. I pressed the snooze button. And wrapped myself up again. I sighed loudly at the thought of going to school. Why can't I just have a normal damn life?

My mom poked her head in. "Mija. Are you up? Don't be late I have to go early. I think I'll be staying late too. Sofie will stay with the babysitter. Are you going to be OK alone?" I nodded "I'll bring Lauren to stay with me for a while" "OK I love you. I'll see you later" she came over and kissed my forehead.

I sat up. Another day. With mom gone. She was always working and I hardly ever got to be with her. I sighed. But that's life.

I walked over yo my closet to pick my clothes out. I looked down at my arms. Looks like a long sleeve in this hot weather.

I walked down the sidewalk silently. Not even in the mood for music. I saw the school up ahead and silently sighed. Everyone was with their group of friends. I walked inside to my locker. Someone was waiting for me.

"hey" she smiled at me. She pulled me into a hug. I could smell her shampoo. My heart skipped. "Hi." I replied back with a small smile. "How are you today babe?" Don't call me that gosh. "I could be better." She pulled me into another hug. I relaxed in her arms. "Heyyy der!!" Dinah yelled. We pulled away and I smiled. Dinah wrapped her long arms around me "I missed you" she said "I did too" I replied. She pulled back and looked at Lauren. "So did you fi-" the bell rang. Lauren smirked "I'll see you in class Dinah Jane" Dinah rolled her eyes. Lauren grabbed my hand my heart jumped. That damn effect she has in me.

Once at the door she turned yo look at me and embraced me once again. "I love you Camz" she said. "I love you too" I whispered.

I walked out trying to fit in with the crowed. When someone bumped into me and sent my papers flying. I bent down to pick them up. "Asshole" I mumbled. "You can say that again." I looked up to find a smiling hazel eyed boy. He handed me my papers. "Thanks" I said. He smiled. "I'm Austin." "Camila." I replied. "Beautiful name." I smiled. "Camila! There you are!" Lauren said walking over realizing I wasn't alone. "Oh. Hi Austin." He did a small wave and looked at me. "See you around." He smiled once again. And left.

"Ugh I can't stand him" Lauren said slithering her arm around my waist. I could feel my face turning red. "Why" I said trying to act normal. "He's the schools biggest flirt and cheater" "ohh" I said. She nodded. "Hey Lauren. Are you busy today?" She shook her head. "Well I was wondering if wanted to come over for a bit. My mom is working late and I don't want to be alone all afternoon." She smiled "I'd love to"

We made our way to her car. Lauren was telling me about her day and all the annoying people but I couldn't focus on what she was saying. All I was focusing was her voice and the way her lips moved. There was no doubt. I'm in love either her.

We pulled up in my drive way. I took out my key and unlocked the front door. Lauren threw herself on the couch. I laud my things down and went to get a drink "Want something Lo?" I asked. "Yeah. You" she replied. I shooky head and smiled she smiled back. "Water is fine." I went to get it and came back. I sat down next to her. I laid my hear on her shoulder. "What do you want to do?" She asked. I stayed silent. "As long as I'm with you, it doesn't matter." She looked at me and I looked up.

Her eyes were the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. They pulled me in. It was full of care, love, and happiness. I felt my self leaning in. She was centimeter away from my lips. " I've never seen someone as beautiful as you" she whispered. "I can say the same to you. I don't think I'll ever see someone like you." She closed the gap.

I caught her lips in mine. The soft lips made my stomach flip and turn. If this is what love feels like then I'll do whatever to keep her.
