Chapter 21

*Camila's POV*

The bell for lunch rang and I nervously walked down to Lauren's class. I will admit, I am afraid of Andrea. I mean she's made my life miserable since I came here. Who knows what she could do.

I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I jumped. " Relax Camz it's just me." Lauren said. I turned to face her and laughed nervously. "Sorry" I said looking down the hall. Lauren turned to look too. "Are you okay Camz?" She asked a little worried. "What? Um yeah?" She looked at me closely "okay...well let's go get the girls. Dinah almost murdered me." She said taking my hand in hers " Really?" I said relaxing a bit. "Mhm but she calmed down when I told her I would take her out for lunch" I lightly laughed. Still nervous.

"Camz are you sure you are okay? You know you can tell me anything." I bit my lip. She should know, but I don't want her to worry about me. "Yeah. I'm fine." "Promise?" My palms started to sweat. I nodded slowly.

We met with the girls and made our way to a small dinner down the street.

After school, Lauren had softball practice so I sat in the bleachers reading, waiting for her to finish. I eventually got bored and decided to watch Lauren practice. Damn. Those softball pants look good on her. I must say she looks hot. That ass. Ugh. I needed a drink. So I went to look for some water. I was walking when I crashed into a hard body and fell. "Oh I'm so sorry" the person said. They stretched their arm to help me get up. I took it and found a sweaty brown haired boy in his football gear. He seemed familiar. "Sorry for knocking you down." He said again. I smiled "its okay. I wasn't looking where I was going." Be smiled back. "Haven't we met before?" He asked. "Um I don't know maybe." "What's your name." He asked. "Camila" "Ah. Yeah your the girl that dropped the papers. I'm Austin" "I remember now." I said. There was an awkward silence. "Camz!" I heard Lauren yell. "Well I better go" I said " Um yeah uh, hope to see you around" he winked at me and made his way to his teammates.

"Hey babe. Who was that?" I took her water bottle and took a drink "Austin." She took the bottle back. "Again?" She said giving me a look. "I bumped into him. Why do you by the him so much anyway?" We made our way to her car. "Let's just say we have a past and he turned out to me a cheating asshole." "He seems nice to me." I said. She scoffed "Yeah very nice. Don't let him fool you." "Well just because he cheated on you it doesn't make him a complete asshole." We came to a red light and she looked at me a bit annoyed and mad. "Are you serious right now? I'm not the only one he cheated on. Dammit Camila." I stayed silent. I obviously made her mad.

After a moment of silence. We pulled up in my driveway. I spoke up. "I'm sorry Laur. I didn't mean to make you mad." She sighed. "It's okay. Its just that....ugh. No I'm sorry I shouldn't have gotten mad." "No. I understand. I don't know him as well as you do." She cupped my cheek. "Its okay alright? I love you." She leaned in for a kiss. "I love you too." I replied back.

She walked me to the door "Well I'll see you tomorrow alright?" I nodded. "Night princess." She kissed my forehead and pulled me in for a hug. I smiled. "Hey Laur?" "Hm?" "Might wanna take a shower." She pulled away "I'm sorry I forgot I smell." I laughed. "I don't care though" and I hugged her once more before I watched her leave. Before she got in her car she looked back. "By the way. I like those pants on you." I said. She raised and eyebrow. "Do you now?" I bit my lip and nodded. She laughed. "Night Camz" I waved and watched her drive off.

I sighed and went inside. Sofie ran up to me. "HII KAKI!" She yelled cheerful. "Hi there Sof. Where is Mama?" I asked looking around. "She's on the phone out in the back." I nodded "Come watch TV with me." She pulled on my hand. I smiled at the small child.

We were watching a kids show when my mom walked in with a worried/frightened/sad face. I got worried and sat up. "Mami are you okay?" I asked carefully because she never showed her emotions. "We have to move."
