Chapter 4 - The Hospital

Niall pushed my wheelchair into the ward Liam was in, he wasn't there. Louis and Zayn were sitting around an empty bed, they both looked ill. I guessed I probably looked the same. "He's getting stitched up." Zayn informed us.

"Can you phone Danielle?" Louis asked me.

"Yeah sure." I replied, taking my phone out my pocket.

I scrolled through my contact list until I found her. It started to ring. "Hi Rachel. What's up?" Danielle asked.

"Danielle I don't really know how to say this but-" I began, until she cut me off.

"Is it about Liam?" She asked.

"Yeah, he's-"

"Is he cheating on me?" Danielle asked, cutting me off again.

"No, Dani. He got beaten up and stabbed."

"O-oh my God! Is he okay? Where are you guys now?" Danielle asked, clearly upset. 

"He's in getting his arm stitched up and we are at the hospital just beside the car shop. You know the one don't you?"

"Yeah, I'm in Manchester with Eleanor but we are coming down to see you guys in a few days, to see how you are after the crash. How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling okay. How are you feeling?" I asked.

"I'm okay to, I guess." Danielle replied.

"What's up?" I asked, getting a feeling that it was about her and Liam's fight. 

"Well, me and Liam had an argument. I just feel that he'll find another girl while he's away. I mean with all those girls throwing themselves at him and look what Niall did to you."

"Aw, Dani Liam won't do anything like that. He's the smart, sensible one. You can trust him." I said.

"I guess." Danielle sighed. "I'm the one in the wrong. I will apologize to him when I come down in a few days. I have to go. I'm going out shopping with El. See you soon."

"Bye Dani." I said, before hanging up.

"I let her know but she's in Manchester with El." I explained.

"I'm gonna go get something from the canteen. Anyone wanna come?" Niall asked, getting up.

"I will." I said, Niall began to push me in my wheelchair.

"So you lovebirds have made up then?" Louis asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah we have." I replied.

Niall wheeled me to the lift, which we got on to the ground floor. I got chips and so did Niall. "I hope Liam will be okay." Niall said, while munching on a chip.

"He will be. I know it."

"How can you know that?" Niall chuckled.

"I can feel it in my bones." I said, then started giggling.

"Okay, whatever you say." Niall giggled.

"Lets go and see if Liam's back yet." I said, the button on the lift for floor four.

To our delight Liam was back and all stitched up. He was unconscious and he had a few bruises on his face. A black eye, a little bruise on his cheek bone and one on his jaw. His wrist was bandaged up and he had a few plasters on his hands.

"The doctor said he'll wake up in a few hours." Zayn explained.

A few hours past. Me and Niall were just about to leave when Liam's eyelids twitched. He groaned and then his eyes opened. "Where am I?" Liam moaned.

"Your in the hospital." Zayn said, softly.

"Why?" Liam asked.

"'Cause you got beaten up and stabbed." Niall explained.

Two police officers came into the room. "Is it okay if we question you Liam? I'm Officer Green but you can call me gary." Gary said, pleasantly.

"Yeah of course." Liam replied.

"Can all of you please leave the room?" The other officer asked.

We did what he wanted and left the room. I took my phone out my pocket when Caris called.

"Where are you?" Caris asked.

"At the hospital. Liam got stabbed and beaten up." I explained.

"Oh God, what happened?"

"Louis dared him to ring someones door bell and keep doing it even when they answered and Liam did it to the guy at the corner and he chased Liam. Then we got a call from Liam saying he got stabbed and hear we are now."

"Oh okay. Me and Haz will be right there."

"Bye." I said, hanging up.

"Caris and Haz are coming now." I said, to Louis, Zayn and Niall. They all nodded in reply. The police left after five minutes because Liam was to tired to answer their questions. All the police got was a description of the man and we told them where he lived.Caris and Harry appeared just after the police left. My phone dinged. Meaning I had a notification on Twitter or Facebook.

I glanced up at Niall and smiled. "Everyone deserves a second chance!" I said.

"Some people don't think you do. How about we go to Ireland for a few days once Liam gets better?" Niall asked.

"Yeah, I'd love to." I said, grinning.

"So you guys have made up?" Harry asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, we have." I replied. 

"Thank God! You guys are cute together!" Caris exclaimed.

I smiled at Niall, who smiled back. I leaned in and kissed him on the lips. I heard a camera click sound. "Gotcha!" Harry chuckled, "That will look lovely on Twitter! Don't ya think Caris?"

"Yeah, it would." Caris said, nodding.

My phone dinged again.

And below was the picture he had taken of me and Niall kissing. I wondered what Jade's response would be to that. Right on queue I received a text.

From Jade: See you and Niall have gotten back together again. Not for long!

I sat wondering what she had ment by 'not for long!'. I was majorly confussed. Liam was slowly nodding of beside us. We decided that me, Niall, Harry and Caris would go back to my house for the night and Louis and Zayn would stay at the hospital for Liam. Harry drove us all home.

When we got back home I made my way to the sofa. Because of my leg I had to sleep on a mattress on the floor because I couldn't climb stairs. "Let's watch Marley and Me." Caris said.

"Okay but don't cry now." I chuckled.

Niall got the food and Caris and Harry got blankets, pillows and two mattresses. Niall sat beside me and I cuddled into him. Caris inserted the DVD and it began to play. I was so tired that I started nodding of to sleep not even halfway through the movie.
