Chapter 6 - The date

"Niall just tell me where we're doing?" I moaned.

"You'll see soon enough."

"You're not nice." I huffed. 

"You'll regret saying that once you know where we're going." He smirked.

I stared at my boyfriend. He started fiddling with one of the buttons on his red polo. I sighed with frustration. The car slowly came to a stop. I opened the car door immediately, desperately wanting to know where we were. I recognized the place instantly. We were at the London Eye. Niall helped me out of the car and into my wheelchair.

Niall talked to a man but I was staring at the sun starting to set. The sky was a pale blue colour and bits were orange and pink. Niall started pushing me towards the London Eye. I looked more closely at one of the pods and I saw something inside it.

As we got closer the objects became more clear. Inside the pod was a table with a rose in the middle, two chairs, a sofa and a guitar. I gasped.

"Are you okay?" Niall asked, instantly. "Are you hurt?"

"Niall, it's, it's, amazing."

"Well to bad because that's not our pod." He said, seriously.

I tried my best not to look disappointed. "I'm kidding." He continued.

I sighed. Niall wheeled me inside and helped me onto a chair. The man Niall was talking to came in with a cart of food. "Dinner is served." Niall exclaimed.

Niall put two plates of spaghetti on the table along with cheese, a bottle of red wine, wine glasses and two bowls of something else but I couldn't see what it was because it was covered with foil. "Niall this is amazing!" I said, before taking a bite of pasta.

The spaghetti tasted brilliant. "Just wait 'till we're at the top. You're not scared of heights are you?"

"No, I'm not scared of heights." I replied.

The pod slowly began to get higher and higher, until we were at the top. Me and Niall had both finished our spaghetti by now and were on our desert of ice-cream, which was in the two bowls he had brought in at the start.

"Niall, I know I've said this before but it's amazing." I said, with a mouth full of ice-cream.

"It is amazing but not as amazing as you."

"No Niall, this is more amazing."

"How did you figure that out?"

"I dunno."

"Well you're wrong. You're more amazing."

"Whatever you say." I sighed.

"Do you want to go sit on the sofa now?" Niall asked.

"Sure, can you help me over?"

"No, you can hobble over yourself." Niall chuckled.

He came over to me and carried me over to the sofa bridle style. "How can you carry me?" I asked, shocked.

"Well you're not heavy."

"Thank you."

"Your welcome. Look at the sunset."Niall said.

The sun was now almost completely down and the sky was a clear light blue. "Let's take a photo." Niall said, taking out his phone.

He took a picture of me and him on the sofa with the beautiful sunset behind us. My phone dinged.

@NiallOficial mentioned you in a Tweet.

I unlocked my phone. "I know your password." Niall said.

"I don't mind."

@NiallOfficial: Out with my girl @RachelOfficial2 isn't she gorgeous?

And below was the picture of me and him. I retweeted the tweet and replied:

@NiallOfficial I'm having a lovely time tonight!:) Love you!<3<3<3

He stood up and picked up his guitar before returning to the sofa. "What song?" He asked.

"Any."

Niall started strumming away on his guitar. "You're insecure, don't know what for. You're turning heads when you wake through the do-o-or. Don't need make-up to cover up. Being the way that you are is en-o-ough." Niall sang.

At the end of the song I clapped. "Want another?" He asked.

"Yeah, please."

"Hey girl, I'm waiting on ya, I'm waiting on ya. Come on and let me sneak you out and have a celebration, a celebration. The music up the windows down. Yeah, we'll be doin' what we do just pretending that we're cool and we know it to. Yeah, we'll be doin' what we do just pretending that we're cool so tonight."

"That was great, Niall." I said, when he had finished.

"Thanks. Soon the pod will start to go down but before that I got you something." Niall said, taking a small box out his pocket and handed me it. 

I opened it up. Inside was a charm bracelet with an 'R', an Irish clover, a koala, a sign that said 'I love you', a love heart and a panda.

"Thank you so much." I said, wrapping my good arm around him.

"Anything for you babe." He whispered into my hair.

Niall moved his face so it was level with mine. His baby blue eyes sparkiling like the sun shining on the ocean. He leaned in, so did I. The kiss was short and sweet. . I saw a flash in the corner of my eye. I'm guessing Niall did to, so he pulled away.

Standing outside our pod was the paparazzi. "Don't answer any questions, okay?" Niall mumbled.

"Got it." I said.

He helped me onto my wheelchair and pushed me out of the pod. I put my head down and looked at the ground. We were bombarded with questions like:

"Niall is it true you're cheating on Rachel with Jade?"

"How did you break your leg?"

"How are you feeling today Rachel?"

We got into a black car and headed home.
