Hamid didn't come to school at all last week, I was started to get worried as Jafaar wasn't present either. Kiyana wasn't at school as well last week I thought to myself as I pulled up my socks and slipped my feet into my shoes.
I walked downstairs and grabbed my bag of the staircase bannister, I was surprised to see my Dad leaning on the counter, He is normally at work at this time.
"Morning Dad" I said quickly while raising my eyebrows to make it a question.
"I called in sick today, but I'm really just tired" He said as he let out a sigh of relief after he took a sip of his coffee.
"Oh um okay, well I've had breakfast so I'll see you later"
"Alright, Bye"
I tossed my hand in the air without looking back and shut the door behind me, The trees were moving uncontrollably as the wind brushed against my skin, I threw on my hoodie and made my way to school.

I dropped my bag in my locker desperate to get the weight of it off my back, I glanced over at my timetable and smiled to myself, We had literature, basically the only subject I enjoyed.
I grabbed my textbook and walked to class, there were only a few people in the class, two boys and one girl. Miss Aimes walked in briskly and shot everyone a bright smile, "Today we will here everyone's summary of Romeo and Juliet." My heart beat quickened as I realized I hadn't summarized anything.
"Neveah why don't you go first" Ms.Aimes smiled at me.
I made my way to the front of the class and quickly thought of what I was gonna say. My fingers began to shake lightly as sweat broke out on the palms of my hands. One of the boys looked up, It was Jafaar which made me even more nervous, He smirked then looked over at Miss Aimes.
"Miss may I go first as Miss Aasir would like to gather her thoughts" He said as his smile widened. I cleared my throat and walked over to my seat. His smile quickly faded as he jolted himself up from his seat and to the front of the class.
"Romeo and Juliet as we all know was one of the most tragic love stories ever written by one of the greatest writers to ever live, Williams Shakespeare" He started, He cleared his throat as his voice went a tone deeper. "All Romeo ever wanted was his love Roseline at the beginning but his love was too unrequited for his soul to bear, he did not know how he would go on without her, until one day he went to a party that he wasn't actually allowed to go to due to the family he belonged to"
"Then he set eyes on a beautiful plot twist named Juliet, Romeo compares here to the sun and her eyes to the stars, and his mind does not ever fall upon the face of Roseline as he becomes captured by the beauty and purity in Juliet, He has to have her and nothing else matters, but his love was as tragic as it was forbidden. He didn't know that it would end that way, Romeo didn't know he was bound to loose her as they both drank the poison that would lead them to an endless life without each other"
The whole class clapped for him as I stared at him in absolute shock, He quickly reverted back to his sarcastic self as he raised his eyebrows at me. I rolled my eyes as he took his seat.
"That was fantastic Jafaar, where did you last study Literature" Miss Aimes asked
"Arabia"
"Well that was breath taking, well done Jafaar"
"I stared at him as he stared back at me. No eyes rolling and no smirks or raised eyebrows, He closed his slightly opened mouth and pursed his lips together. He squinted his eyes then looked away, as I quickly did the same.
The bell rang as Miss Aimes announced that the rest of us would summarize in the next class. I picked up my textbook and walked to my locker, I pulled out my math textbook and closed my locker to meet Jafaar leaning on the locker next to mine.
I jumped but quickly caught myself. "What do you want?"
"Where's the music room in this school?" He asked quickly
"I don't know and anyways it's time for math"
"Well your gonna come with me to find it"
I scoffed "No I'm not" and attempted to walk away, as he took a few steps to block my path.
"tuh tuh tuh" He said as he shook his finger. before putting his hand back in the pocket of his trouser.
"That's not what I asked you to do." He said sternly
"Uh Hello, Hi um... I don't care what you asked me to do, get out of my way I'm late for class."
I pushed past him with my shoulder and walked over to my seat, Hamid was here today. I smiled to myself and took my seat beside him. "Hey" Hamid said as he smiled over at me. "Hi" I smiled back at him.
I looked over at the door to see if Jafaar was still there, he was gone.
Hamid looked at the door and back to me "Hey.. um why was Jafaar talking to you just now"
"He was asking where the music studio and being a jerk about it"
Hamid smiled but it quickly faded as he stared back at the door.
