Darkness Falls

A friend

As the shots were fired a big ice wall appeared in front of them. Edmond opened his eyes and saw a guy with a blue hood and a white mask. The guy suddenly spoke, "We need to go NOW!"
The guy in the hood grabbed Edmond by the arm and tried to pull him up and tried to get him to the backdoor but Edmond was reluctant. "MY DAD!!! LET ME GO!", Edmond screamed. "There are reinforcements coming we can't stay here. Plus would you really want to be captured?! ANSWER ME!", The guy replied.
As reluctant as Edmond seemed both of them ran towards the backdoor but before running away totally Edmond glanced behind him and saw his father being carried away. "DAAD NO! Darn it!", he screamed. He let out a big shout and activated his magic. His hands glowed yellow and magic circles appeared in his hands. "GET AWAY FROM HIM! DISCHARGEEEE!", he screamed. A surge of lightning crawled through the floor and grounded the officers and paralyzed some of them.
Edmond and the guy started to run as fast as they can until they reach a dark alleyway far from the facility. Edmond punched the wall in frustration. "Dang it...if we could have planned better...and if YOU didn't come along I would have saved him!", Edmond said in an angered tone.
"Don't be dumb Edmond! If you had stayed there then you both would be captured", the guy replied.
"Why did you call me by my name?...Who even are you?", Edmond asked in confusion.
"It's me.", The guy replied while removing his mask and hood revealing himsef to be Claide.
"You...", Edmond whispered. Suddenly he punched Claide in the face making Claide lean on to the alleway wall.
"What did you do that for?!", Claide screamed.
"Because YOU are the reason I didn't save him! You ruin everything!", Edmond replied screaming as well.
The scene gets more tense as every second passes. The sky lit up with because of a quick strike of lightning. Rain started to fall.
"I saved you..! You would have been captured or even worse! You could have died!", Claide exclaimed.
"Tsk.. get your face out of here and don't show yourself to me...and don't even expect me to go to school anymore. I'm done with this!", Edmond said.
Both walked away in opposite directions.
After a while Edmond arrived in his house. Emilia was waiting for him in his room.
"I'm sorry their system security was stronger than I anticipated. I still saw what happened though. Who was that guy?", Emilia asked.
"Claide... that damn bastard. If it weren't for him we would have saved him!", Edmond replied while clenching his fist.
"You know...I may not know much about you but you should go easire on him. He saved you back there. He was just looking out for you. Not a lot of people would risk their lives you know", Emilia said.
"Tsk...if you have nothing more to say here is your payment.", Edmond tried to quickly cut off the conversation and handed the money over to Emilia.
"Nahhh I don't need it plus I failed anyways so I don't deserve the money.", Emilia quickly declined.
As Emilia left the room she said one last thing, "If you need me just call and hey...you don't get friends like that anymore. Take care".
Edmond sat on his bed while his head is layed down.
Claide arrived in his house. His parents greeted him. "Hey Claide you came home late today honey", his mother said.
"Why don't you go eat?", his father added.
"I'm not hungry. I'll be in my room",Claide responded with a sad and tired tone.
Once Claide arrived at his room he threw his mask on the wall and layed down in his bed. The rain continued to fall.

Meanwhile in the facility...
"You idiots had a breach! You let a hacker in our systems and let the suspects ran away!", an angry officer with a different uniform screamed at the other officers.
Suddenly a tall man appeared behind him and said, "Calm down...we will get them..and I think I have and idea who tried to break in." The tall man's voice was deep and familiar. The tall man stepped out of the shadows. It was Mr. Gray, the principal.
"Yes sir..sorry sir.", the officer replied.
