Chapter 6

"I mean you are going to train at school, your grandad so he can train you and when you complete seven years of training you can go to Beacon Academy" he said enthusiastically
"Whaaaa--Whoa!" I said almost falling of my chair
"It's a great opportunity" he said trying to encourage me, I did like the thought of it though.
"I have no idea if I am going to be good at it but it's worth a try" I felt like I just singed my death wish there is no way I can fight Grimm, but I don't want to upset Uncle crow plus I want to meet my sis again.
"Ruby you know you don't have to do it you could always sit this one out" she said worried
"It's okay Lionel I want to do this"
"I want to know more about myself and...why my eyes are silver?" I looked at crow expecting him to answer the question.
"That is a question I can't answer" he said with sorrow
"But...ok I guess but you will tell me some day, right?" I said with hope
"Someday kiddo...someday" he got up from his chair "okeydokey you should get going I will take you to the new school tomorrow since it the opening and we need sort out your clothes and you starting school"
"So cool!" I grinned "I am going to become a huntress!" I said excitedly
Slowly and reluctantly, I uncover my face. I blink, close my eyes, and blink again. Streaks of sunlight penetrate the window and blind me. I stretch my arms above my head and yawn. I notice something in the corner a formidable outfit that looked like it could be ready to jump into battle anytime now. Steadily I walked towards the outfit and wore it, the colours were red, white and black it had a strap from the waist going down and there were black gloves and the top was a leather jacket with no sleeves and it had belts there was also a red scarf at the top.
Uncle crow came in my room "Wow you look like a real huntress already!"
I blushed at the compliment then Lionel came in "You look amazing it...really suits you" she blushed at what she said, and I smiled. we had breakfast then we went to the school.
It was the opening ceremony and I went with uncle crow and Lionel and I had my ups and downs, people stared thinking I was a boy, some looked at my awesome-looking outfit and others were just looking out of curiosity but other than the occasional stare and talking I felt like this was going to be a good seven years.
Five years passed, and I was at the music and Dust shop (oh just if you didn't know, Dust if something we hunters use to create fire balls and stuff, it acts as a subordinate for magic not that it exists) and a group of men with black suits, red ties and hats barged armed and ready. They attacked the old man and made him give them all the dust in the shop but not if I can help it.
One of the men saw me and walked up to me "Oi kid!" I didn't respond
"OI KID LISTEN!" I turned around
"Don't you see I am listening to something?" I said irritated "I don't care!" he looked at me as if I was stupid "You can't just go robbing a shop and you just made me miss my favourite part!...and are you robbing me?" I said still irritated.
I shouted angrily I pulled out my scythe and charged at him then he was sent flying through the window the others looked at him then me, "GET HER!!" ordered one of the men.
