Bucky and Steve were sat in a booth on the other side of the bar, waiting for me and Nat to come back with some more drinks.
"I'm going crazy Stevie," Bucky groaned, knocking back another glass of whiskey. "She's sending me crazy." He added, his eyes flitting over to me as I laughed at something Nat had said.
"Here's a thought, talk to her." Steve said, looking over to his best mate who was biting his bottom lip.
"The genius has spoken!" Bucky brought his hands together and clapped, his eyebrows raised at his friend.
"I'm serious man," Steve slapped Bucky's shoulder, a light look of frustration painted on his face. "I bet she feels the same way."
"I can't take that chance Steve, I can't lose what we have," Bucky shook his head. "I just can't."
"You'd give up potentially being in a relationship with her for maintaining a friendship?" Steve asked disbelievingly. This was nothing like Bucky normally was. Bucky's eyes flitted back over to me, and he saw that we were coming back over.
"In a heartbeat, without hesitation," He replied back, smiling over to me as I waved at him. I sat down next to him, resting my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "You okay doll?" He asked, squeezing me into him slightly.
"Better now i'm sat with you." I whispered back, my eyes falling on Steve, who nudged Nat's side before tipping his head towards Bucky and I.
Two hours later, Bucky and I had left Nat and Steve and were currently stood in the kitchen of Stark tower. Bucky's head was in the fridge and I was next to him, my warm face rested on his cold arm.
"I love you, you know that?" I whispered, sighing into his arm.
"I love you too." He chuckled, closing the fridge and moving with me still hanging off him.
"No, like I really love you James, like this much," I propped myself up onto my tip toes and pressed my lips against his. "See?" I mumbled when I pulled back.
"I see." He whispered before pressing his lips back on mine. We only pulled away again when Steve shouted to Nat from the doorframe.
"Nat, you owe me twenty bucks!" He shouted, sprinting towards the staircase.
