I called the lift, my eyes focused on my phone in my hand. The doors slid open and I was met with the face of Bucky Barnes. He glared at me through his eyelashes as I stepped into the lift next to him. For whatever reason, Bucky and I had never liked each other. Well, I like him, really like him, but Bucky seemed to have a problem with me.

Halfway up the tower, the lift made a screeching noise before stopping entirely. The lights cut and we had no access to JARVIS.
"Fucking hell," I hissed to myself, pressing the alert button before leaning against the wall opposite Bucky. I turned my torch on and pointed it around the lift to find Bucky sat on the floor below me. "Shit when did you get down there? I didn't even hear you." I muttered, sliding down the wall opposite him and continuing to scroll through my instagram.
"You forget who I am so easily." He mutters and I snap my head up to look at him.
"Who you were, Barnes. Who you were." I mumbled before looking back down at my phone.
"Can't you call Tony instead of looking at instagram?" He asked, eyebrow raised. I turned the screen around, pointing at the signal bar in the corner.
"No signal, darling," I smirked, watching as he let out a frustrated sigh. "God you really are obnoxious you know?" I mumbled, feeling how tense the air was in this lift.
"I'm obnoxious?" He scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. The muscles tensed slightly and my stomach filled with butterflies. "Have you met yourself? Fucking training all the time? You'll make yourself ill." He whispered his last sentence, and a small smile appeared on my lips.
"Nah, i'm fine," I shrugged, locking my phone and leaving the light pointing towards the doors, so not to hurt our eyes. "I could really go for a chicken burger right now though." I added seeing Bucky nod in the dark.

Bucky turned to me, his eyes falling on my face as I lay on my front. It was pretty cold in the lift, as Bucky could see by how much I was shivering.
"Don't you have a jacket?" He asked, eyes scanning over the lift to find no sign of a jacket. I shook my head before resting it on my forearms, my eyes closing slightly. I heard the slight rustling of fabric before I felt warm, but heavy material thrown over my back. "Let's hope that'll keep you warm at least." He whispered, adjusting some of the fabric slightly before leaning back against the wall.
"Hey Bucky?" I mumbled, not picking up my head.
"Yeah?" He whispered, his own eyes becoming heavy. I kept my eyes closed, feeling my breath bounce off the floor as I spoke.
"You're not that bad." I heard Bucky let out a gentle chuckle.
"Neither are you, doll," I could almost hear the smile in his voice and I lifted up my head. He opened his arms before speaking. "That floor can't be too comfy. C'mere." I slowly lifted myself up and curled up next to him, feeling an arm wrap around my shoulders. He ran his hand through my hair as I adjusted the jacket on my shoulders slightly.

When Tony managed to get the doors open, he found Bucky and I curled up together, legs tangled and fingers laced together, Bucky's lips were loosely placed on my forehead. After calling everyone he could to come and take a picture, and finally winning the bet he had with Steve, he woke Bucky and I up, leaving us to fully come to our senses on the floor of the elevator.
