Broken || STEVE ROGERS [5]

Prologue

2016 ― Upstate New York
"We're your children. That makes us Avengers by default."

IN THE LAST YEAR, the Rogers children have went from having the build, maturity and brains of young children to teenagers. They looked around the age of 19/20, but they only born two years ago. The serum that ran through Katherine's bloodstream, ran through their as well, but had different affects on them. It sped up their aging and maturity, rapidly, but what was interesting to Katherine was that, it actually made them inherit actual powers, and now just the boost that she and Steve got.

Interestingly enough, telekenesis is something that the Rogers daughter, Amaya had picked up on. Katherine didn't know how it was possible seeing that neither she or Steve could do that, but Amaya could, and she could also read others minds, and of course, she had super strength. Wanda Maximoff was helping her train since they have a similar power.

Christian on the other hand, he had gotten the same amount of strength both of his parents, but he also developed another interesting power. He can make himself completely invisible. The first time Katherine realized he could do it was when they were playing hide and seek. Chrisrian always hid in the same spot so Katherine knew where to look for him, and she was surprised when she didn't see him there, she turned around to look in another spot, but then he reappeared and scared her nearly half to death. And he can also teleport himself from one place to another.

But like his sister, he also has the capabilities of reading other's minds. Tony theorized that it's because they're twins and they're genetically linked to each other, they might be psychically linked to each other as well.

Once their kids started developing powers, they realized it was time to train them to control them and use them. Which is what they did for the last year, and they were about to go out on mission now, but told the kids they wouldn't be coming with them.

"Mom, Dad come on, please. We're ready." Christian begged his parents to let him and his twin sister come to Lagos with them, but Katherine and Steve both shook their heads.

"Hate to break it to you, bubba, but you're definitely not ready. Especially after everything that happened with Viper." Katherine said to her son. Christian sighed, knowing she was right and knowing the situation with Viper was completely his fault.

"Mom, yes we are. We got trained by the best. All of the Avengers. We're pretty much Avengers too. I've learned my lesson from Viper, I promise." Christian said, and Steve chuckled while looking at them.

"You two are not Avengers, not yet. Buddy we know you learned your lesson, but since we're dealing with Rumlow again, we would just feel a lot better if you guys stayed here." He said, and Amaya rolled her eyes.

"You and Mom are Avengers. . we're your children. That makes us Avengers by default. Please, if Viper is there again, I want to kick her ass. .-butt!" Amaya said. Katherine and Steve looked at each other as Steve strapped his shield onto his arm and Katherine strapped on her baton, onto her thigh and pointed a finger at her kids.

"The answer is still no." She said, and they both groaned.

"Come on. . Daddy?" Amaya asked, looking at her dad with a pleading look on her face. Steve chuckled as he looked at her.

"I love you, princess, but I agree with your mom. You're not ready yet." Steve said, and they both rolled their eyes. Amaya groaned and laid back on her parents bed where she was sitting.

"This is so unfair." Christian said.

"As is life, bubba." She said, and then there was a knock on the doorway and Katherine turned around to see Natasha was equipped and ready.

"Jet's leaving in 15." She said.

"Thanks, Nat." Katherine said.

"Aunt Nat, can you please tell our parents that we're ready to go with you to Lagos." Christian said. Natasha looked at the kids and then she looked at Katherine and Steve who looked at her and Katherine laughed while shaking her head.

"What did they say?" Natasha asked.

"That we're not ready." Amaya said.

"Then you're not ready." Natasha said, shaking her head, and Amaya rolled her eyes.

"That's not what you're thinking." Amaya said, and Natasha rolled her eyes.

"Alright, before the little brat can look any deeper in my head, I'll be waiting for you two on the jet." She said, before walking out of the room. Amaya and Christian both frowned as Katherine put her pocket knife securely in her boot.

"So who's going to be looking after us while you're gone?" Amaya asked.

"Vision. He's not coming with us. So be good, okay?" She said.

"Mom. . we're not three." Christian said.

"You're right. Technically, you're 2 years old, but you can thank the infinity serum from your mother's bloodstream for aging you so quickly in two years." Steve said, and the twins both rolled their eyes. Katherine sat down on the bed with them, and wrapped her arms around her kids.

"Listen guys, you'll be ready one day, we know that, but not right now, okay?" Katherine said, and then she kissed both of them on their foreheads, then Steve did the same thing.

"Fine." Amaya said.

"Okay." Christian said.

Katherine stood up and she and Steve walked to the door. "We love you guys, okay?" Katherine said, and they both nodded their heads.

"We love you too." Christian said.

"Be careful please, we prefer our parents in one piece."

I know like all my prologue's are terrible, but hey. Introducing the Rogers children and their powers again for those of you who didn't read my story about Christian and Wanda called 'Telepathic' and yes as I've explained it in mutiple chapters since nutrients are passed from mom to baby, directly through the bloodstream, that's what happened with the infinity serum, and that's why in two years, babies are teenagers.
