Chapter 16

NCPD - CSI Lab (Barry POV)

"Hey there handsome, where did you run off to?" Is what I heard when I came walking into lab. I turned around and looked at Linda Park, my CSI partner.

"Hey Linda. What's up. Just went out for a quick second." I asked as I placed my jacket on my chair and sat down to begin work on that giant pile of paperwork on my desk.

"You out with your girlfriend again?" Linda pushed me.

"*Sigh* She's not my girlfriend Linda, I've told you that many times now."

"Oh ok... So then what do you call that girl that frequency comes by to visit you?"

"A friend that loves to get lunch. Linda stop teasing Kara, I know you don't like her but please... Just stop making fun of her."

I noticed Linda give me a smirk, it was all a game to her.She never stops, no matter how hard I try she never stops. I've been trying to finish all this because I'm afraid that Kara might stop passing by if Linda keeps teasing us, but nothing I do works with her.

*Explosion across town*

"What was that?" Linda said as she ran to the window to see.

As I walked over I noticed a beam of blue lights shoot into the sky. I know those beams anywhere, it's the ones I repeatedly get burned by every morning. I need to get to the D.E.O., this seems like it could be a big one. I quickly normal ran out of the room, not even bothering to make up an excuse to Linda, and once I was in the clear I used my superspeed to make my way to the D.E.O.

D.E.O (Barry POV)

"What's going on!" I quickly asked Winn for answers.

"Metallo is back, Supergirl is out there fighting that thing right now." He answered me back quickly. I watched as Winn pulled up some traffic camera footage, I could see Kara fighting Metallo. 

I support Kara, I always do and I always will, but this; this was just a beating. I watched as Kara got repeatedly smacked around from wall to wall.

"Winn she's getting hurt do something!" I yelled at him. I wasn't yelling because I was mad, I yelled because I'm scared.

"I can't do anything! J'onn, Alex, and a team of D.E.O agents have already been deployed, it's going to take them a while to get there! I'm trying to repair Kara's kryptonite shield, but I can't focus cause I need to run everything else!" Winn was under a lot of stress. I watched as Kara tried to fly away, but Metallo grabbed her by the leg and slammed on the ground. He hadn't even started using his kryptonite yet and he was already winning. Metallo approached her, he looked like he was about to end her, but he was stopped when the D.E.O firing squad showed up. It didn't take long for J'onn, or should I say the Martian Manhunter, to draw his attention away from Kara.

"Winn! Winn! Is there a way I can talk to Kara." I asked him.

He didn't answer me, he just tossed me a earpiece. I placed it on quickly and began to talk to Kara, "Kara! Kara! Please answer me! Are you ok!"

Fight Sight (Kara POV)

I laid on a pile of rubble on my back. I couldn't move, see, or hear anything. I haven't taken a beating this bad in a long time, I almost forgot how pain felt. I did not miss it.

"..ra! Kara! Please answer me! Are you ok!" My hearing slowly began to come back. I was so happy to hear his voice.

"Barry. I'm... I'm here." Wow I can't even talk. I tried to get up, but everything hurts.

"Oh thank goodness. You need to stand and fight, come on Kara please. J'onn can't handle him much longer, you're going to need to fight."

"Ok... Ok I'm going." I said finally managed to get back on my feet. I felt wobbly, but I powered through.

"Wait Kara!"

"Yeah Bar?"

"Let me help you, give me the go ahead signal. I know you said that I'm not ready, but let me help you. Kara let me figh..."

"Barry I already said no! This guy is too dangerous, I don't want you getting hurt! Stay at the D.E.O, away from danger, and I'll back there later. OK."

I waited for him to fight me back on this, but he just remained silent. It took him a while, but he finally said something to me, "... Ok... Just... Go get him Supergirl. Please... be careful."

"I will Bar." I said before charging at Metallo for a second round.

D.E.O (Barry POV)

I placed down the earpiece on the table, "I'm sorry Barry."

Winn had stopped from doing his work to talk to me. He noticed that I was upset.

"It's alright. I'm not ready, that's all. I just... I just need to train harder that's it." I walked away from the console and went down to the training room to do what I've done for the past two months, train. I was going to keep training everyday for also long as it took, until Kara saw me for the hero that I want her to see me as.

I was originally going to make this longer, but when I noticed this last paragraph and thought it was good enough. Plus this my second chapter today so I don't need to make to long I think. Also I don't know if you guys know, but I'm re watching season three of the Flash right now with my friend that has never seen it before. We just finished watching the invasion crossover, and the whole time he was just repeatedly asking me things like 'Does Supergirl like the Flash?', 'Do they hook up?', 'She likes him doesn't he?', 'Why don't they get together?', 'I like her way more then the other b**tch?'. I'm honest to god those are his words. You don't know how badly I wanted to tell him 'yes' to all of these questions. All I would answer with is 'They should be'. Hahahah! Just thought I'd share that with you guys, I thought it was funny. Anyway tell me what you guys thought of the chapter.
