Chapter 20

National City Bank (Barry POV) - Two Months Later

"Hey guys, you forget your pin number?" I said as I sped into the middle of the bank robbery. I looked around and saw seven robbers; two loading money into their bags, two standing guard, and three holding down hostages.

"Oh crap! It's The Flash!"

"Hey, I'm glad the name stuck!" I say to them with my signature cocky smile.

"It's seven against one, kill him you idiots!"

They quickly turned their guns on me and emptied their entire clip of ammo. I watched as the bullets traveled towards me in slow motion, I could have moved out of the way, but I didn't need to because she was on her way.

Right on cue, Supergirl crashed through the roof and stood between me and the bullets. The bullets bounced right off her chest and trickled onto the floor.

"Aw, man! Not Supergirl too!" One of the robbers whined.

"You're here late?" I poke fun at her.

"Sorry, staff meeting I needed to get out of."

"What was your excuse this time?"

"Needed to use the bathroom."

"Again? You've used that excused like nine times this month, they're going to think you have a bladder problem or something."

"Yeah I know, I need to think of better lies. What do you normally say?"

"Eh? Linda never says anything."

"Linda. She still doing that annoying flirty thing with you."

"Yeah sorta."

"You need to tell her to stop."

"I try, but every time I say something she just-"

"Excuse me!" A robber holding a hostage called out for our attention, "We're still robbing this place."

"Oh right!" Kara remembered.

"So what? You want the ones with guns or the ones with hostages?" I asked.

"Guns. You got them last time, it's my turn." Kara said cracking her knuckles.

"Less fun for me, but alright."

D.E.O

Kara and I sped into the D.E.O and stopped before J'onn and Alex.

"Another robbery stopped by National City's Finest!" Kara announced to the entire D.E.O.

"I thought we agreed on World's Finest?" I corrected her.

"Did we? I can't remember."

"You know, you two don't both need to go to every bank robbery in National City together, one superhero is plenty enough." Alex chimed in, trying to bring us down.

"Yeah we know, but it's just much more fun being out there together." Kara stepped in.

"Yeah." I backed her up with a high five.

Alex rolled her eyes at us, "I swear you two are both perfect for each other."

"Well as long as the work is getting down, I don't care." J'onn spoke up, while giving us a smile.

Work? Oh crap I need to get back to work, "Hey, I'll see you guys later, I need to get back to the  NCPD or else Linda is going to start asking questions."

"Linda... Well ok, see you for lunch later?" I noticed a change in Kara's voice when she said Linda's name, but I ignored it.

"Yup, same as everyday. Is it my turn, or your turn?"
