Chapter 26

Earth 1 - S.T.A.R Labs - Breach Room (Earth 38 Barry POV)

"Woah! We are back baby!" Cisco yelled at nothing as we exited out of his handmade breach, which I didn't know he could do until three seconds ago. I looked around the room, it was the same one me and Winn came through a couple of months ago, although I'm noticing much more detail now then last time since I don't need to worry about being caught. 

"Welcome once again to Earth 1!" Barry announced to Kara and me. I gave her a smile, but she was still refusing to smile or even look back at me.

"So how long do you think this going to take?" Kara asked Barry, she didn't look all to happy to be here.

"I really don't know Kara, but just in case you need a place to stay I can call Joe and arrange for you guys to stay there. My old room is free for grabs." Barry said dialing a number on his phone and walking away. 

My eyes shot wide open when he did this. I grabbed Kara's hand and pulled her over for a private side conversation, "Kara did he say he was going to call 'Joe'?"

"Yeah he did, why?"

I began to feel a bunch of heavy emotions when she confirmed this. I didn't tear up at the moment, but I felt like I was.

"Hey, whats... Oh my gosh!" Kara covered her mouth when she remembered why I was acting so strange, "Your Joe is gone."

I gave her a nod. I wanted to go see him, I wanted to hear his voice again.

"Joe says he'd be happy to have you guys over. He's over at my old house getting the beds ready as we speak." Barry cut in. He looked at me and I could tell he saw something was bothering me, "Everything alright."

I whipped my eyes just in case there where tears on them, "Yeah, yeah. It's just that... ugh..."

I couldn't find the right words to form a sentence, but luckily I had someone to help me. 

"Barry's Joe is dead on our Earth." Kara explained for me, "It's just a lot to take in for him." 

Barry turned to me and gave smile, "Then what are you waiting for, go see him."

I was in disbelief at the moment. I was going to see my foster dad again, "Kara will you come with me?"

I noticed Kara form a frown when I said this. She lost her eye contact with me and instead decided to look at the ground, "I'd love to Barry, but there is work to be done here. We need to find this Savitar guy quickly, how about you go and I catch up with you later."

I felt my heart break a little. Kara didn't want to meet the closest thing I had to a parent... but it was for a good cause. She was right, she need to focus on the job at hand, "Yeah alright. I guess I'll see you later?"

I quickly sped out of the S.T.A.R Labs and ran my way back home.

(Earth 1 Barry POV)

"Wow... Is that how I look when I run?" I watched as the ray of orange lightning sped out of the room.

"Yeah. Pretty cool huh?" Kara commented, she gave me a weak smile, but it was nothing compared to what she normally gave.

"Yeah." I said before changing the subject, "Hey Kara, you know that there is neat place I've never shown you in S.T.A.R Labs. You want to see it?"

I noticed Kara's sorry excuse for a smile turn back into the frown, "You know Barry, I'd love to sight see, but you brought me here because of a bad guy and I'd like to catch him as soon as possible. How about you show me later."
