Love From The Soul (Severus Snape x OC)

Chapter 6

I woke up as usual, and got dressed for the day. I still had a day before teaching resumed, and I wanted to make the most of it. Making sure not to forget my eye patch, I head out, but not before leaving a note for Dempsey of my whereabouts. 

I went to a secret spot hidden near Hagrid's hut, before the entrance to the forbidden forest, which was a spot me and Dempsey went to often to escape from bullies and teachers to practice our spells. I figured I could practice some of my more unique spells since no one else but us were supposed to be aware of that place. I took out my wand to start casting, before deciding against it, and putting it back in my outer robe pocket.

I point my hand towards a spot and close my eyes, a magic circle forms on the ground, and a magical dummy starts to form. I open my eyes, satisfied with my spell, and think of another spell I could cast. I then decide to try a spell I hadn't tried in a long time, and that I had never succeeded in casting. I bring out my hand towards the dummy and concentrate. Light starts to form in my hand, but it goes slower and slower as I try to make it intense enough for the spell to work.

''Come on.......come on....'' I squint my eyes, putting more and more effort into channeling my energy. ''Come on.....why doesn't it work...? Come on!'' It gets a bit brighter, but something seems wrong. I start groaning from the effort and I start sweating and getting dizzy.

 ''Arrrghhh! Why won't you get any brighter than that? It feels like something is pushing against me!'' My head starts to feel like its pounding and burning, and I scream in agony but keep pushing myself. A black substance starts oozing from my hand and my nose, and I stop, not being able to endure the pain of it anymore.

That's when Dempsey arrives, running towards me in a panic after witnessing what happened. ''Gosh Alzenia, what's going on?! What happened?!'' He gets to me right in time before I collapse in his arms of exhaustion. ''I.......I don't know Dempsey......'' 

Before I can get another word in, he interrupts me. ''Alzenia, the entirety of your right eye and almost half your face is black and looks cursed.'' I slump in sorrow when I hear that. I then reply in an empty voice.

 ''You know that this is because I am cursed......I need to get rid of it....I have to....'' Dempsey looks at me with an anxious and worried expression. Both of us were having bad feelings about what was to come.

After about an hour of waiting, the black had faded and I looked normal again, so we went back to the castle. The walk back to my quarters was silent, and the atmosphere between Dem and me was tense. 

*What if I never find a solution.....what if I fail what I came here to do...I don't want everything to fall apart. No, I can't fail! I wont fail!* 

''What are you thinking about 'zenia?'' I snap out of my trance as Dempsey worriedly checks on me. ''I'm just....worried...I need to find a way to undo this curse...but I don't know how.'' 

Dempsey smiles at me. ''Don't worry, we will find a way, I won't give up on you.'' I look back at him with a grin, and we get back to my room.

A few hours later, when I was feeling better, me and Dem head out again, and we decided to explore the castle. While we were exploring, I was thinking some things over....and made a decision about something. I stopped walking, and Dempsey halted and turned around to a strangely determined Alzenia. ''Uhh.....what's with the face dudette?''

 I chuckle at this nickname. ''I made a decision about something, I'm here with an objective, it's a mission that includes Snape in it, and he really wants to know what's going on, soo........maybe we should go meet with him and I can explain things how they are and stop hiding shit.'' His eyes widen. ''Really? I mean...do what you want, but are you sure you want to tell him that much info?'' 

I think it over for a few seconds, then turn back to him. ''Yes, and who knows, maybe he can help me get rid of the curse, he has talent in a lot of things, he could potentially find a counter curse...or maybe a cure.'' 

He smirks. ''Yeah, and I also heard he gives very scalding punishments, maybe the two who cursed you deserves a taste of his wrath.'' I laugh and shake my head. 

''That would be awesome actually, we might actually need theses two fuckers to get rid of this, since we might need to know how it was cast.'' With that in mind, we left on our way to Snape's classroom.

Snape was grading some essays from students, when he heard a knock at his door. Expecting it to be dunderhead student, he didn't look up and simply muttered ''Enter''. The door opened and he heard a voice that he didn't expect. 

''Professor Snape? May I have a word?'' He looks up with a frown. ''Ah.....Nomendia..'' he drawls. ''Sorry if I'm bothering you Snape, but I was wondering if you had the time to have a word with us later, I'm warning you however, it might take a while..'' I say while looking nervous. He raises an eyebrow at me. ''Why would I spend that long in your company?'' I sigh in annoyance, but I reply.

 ''You have been pestering me to have answers since the beginning of my teaching, and now I'm willing to give you answers, if you give me time and accept to meet me so we can sit down and discuss.''

 He pretended to think about it, and then answered "Fine, but you better keep your word..'' I smiled and nodded, then she and that buffoon Callidus left.

''Hey would ya look at that, he actually accepted.'' Dem said with a smirk. I only chuckled, and we went back to my quarters to wait for the time of the meeting.

Alright, this is a shorter chapter, but I finally did something. I hope it was ok, since i do put a lot of my own creativity into this. I'm always so afraid of straying away from the original lore, but I believe I'm ok. Anyway, again, if i made any spelling mistakes and stuff, don't hesitate to tell me, and I will do my best to correct it as soon as possible.
